Guardians within a game of division lead after beating Twins 8-0 for 10th straight win By AP Sep 20, 2025, 10:28 pm
MINNEAPOLIS -- — Steven Kwan tied a season high with four RBI, Logan Allen pitched a career-best eight innings and the Cleveland Guardians made it 10 straight wins by beating the Minnesota Twins 8-0 on Saturday to sweep a day-night doubleheader without giving up a run.
Winners in 15 of their past 16 games, the Guardians are one game back of first-place Detroit in the AL Central after trailing by 11 on Sept. 4. The Tigers were beaten 6-5 by Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.
The Guardians started the nightcap one game behind Boston and Houston in the wild-card standings. They won the opener 6-0, hitting five home runs in a game for the first time since April 10, 2021.

Red Sox and Yankees won tonight, Blue Jays lost so both Sox and Yankees gained ground on the division leader. The Guardians are now one game out of the Central Division lead. Could be a tight race coming down the stretch. Seven games to go for most teams.
Go Tribe!
And yes, they’re still the Indians to me and most others.

Guadrians???
Is thiws soccer?
>> the Cleveland Guardians made it 10 straight wins
The WHO???!? Oh, the Indians. ROFLMAO. Woke horse crap.
>> Guadrians???
I know it’s a typo, but “named after a typo” kinda fits these woke klowns from Woke Klowntown.
Henceforth as far as I’m concerned they’ll be the Cluelessland Guadrians!
It might as well be soccer, those running MLB are like a bunch of ball-less Euroweenies now.
“Winners in 15 of their past 16 games, the Guardians are one game back of first-place Detroit in the AL Central after trailing by 11 on Sept. 4.” When the Indians go on a 35-5 run like the Detroit Tigers did in ‘84 I’ll be more interested.

2025 Tigers > 99.9% chance late in season of making playoffs...die out (in Cleveland)
Stephen Vogt > A.J. Hinch...that much CAN be said
(...but can Cleveland finally knock out THEIR nemesis, the Yankees?)
Tigers ran out of gas just before the all-star break...maybe they played over their heads and they are at best a .500 team as constructed...who knows.
Still, blowing a 14 game lead is a collapse and embarrassment of epic proportions...no matter what their line-up. It will stick with the old English -D for a loooong time.
Just a "weird" Jekyll & Hyde team.
I’m sick to my stomach.
The Cleveland what?
Yeah, it sucks...but as long as I’ve been watching sports in Michigan (63- yard field goals from a guy with half a foot, Hail Mary passes, guys dying on the field...) I’ve gotten used to the fact that...if there is a way for ANY of them to lose, they’ll make it happen.
I’m proud of the Seattle Mariners who are leading the American League West with 86 wins and 69 Losses.
Are fans of the Cleveland Guardians known as wards?
Could be Ohio’s year: the Reds are just one game behind the Mets for the third and final Wild Card slot.
It’s the Cleveland Indians!!
Yes some of my ancestry is Cherokee Indian

“Black Lives Matter” to MLB!
White lives, not so much; you could confirm that with innocent Iryna, if she could talk.
My brother is probably dusting off his I-71 series t-shirt.
As a long suffering Reds fan who remembers the beautiful 1990
“wire-to-wire” season, I just want a post season series. The Reds are hard to see where I live now, a playoff series would be awesome.
