Beginning Sept. 1, the European Union has banned an ingredient commonly found in gel nail polish.
The banned substance, TPO (trimethylbenzoyl diphenylphosphine oxide), gives nails a super glossy sheen and a quick dry time under UV or LED light. However, it has been deemed toxic in the EU after several studies have shown that it can cause fertility issues and adversely affect reproductive health.
Gel nail polish, which has gained popularity since the 2000s, is cured under UV or LED light, resulting in a hard, durable manicure.

Fertility issues?
Apparently it's different in the United States. The longer and more colorful the nails, the more children she has from different fathers.

I was having a pedicure and the woman next to me,, who arrived at the same time I did, got up and left several minutes before my nails were dry..
The difference? Gel polish. I won’t use it because I think it has too many chemicals, could be wrong.
Now, there's a good sobriety test... Say it 3 times with your eyes closed...
Acrylic eyeglasses frames, colored hair, and nose/septum piercings are also good indicators too.
There is a woman I used to work with who I’d seen yesterday who had decided to dye her hair a dark purple. In the nine years I’ve known her she had kept her natural color, and to the best of my knowledge is still married. The dyed hair makes me wonder now. I also know who her friends/coworkers are; one’s an AWFUL, the other is a divorced woman with two kids from different daddies.

LOL. I was going to say the same thing. In the US, glossy, intricately painted nails are a sign of fertility.
I’m allergic, unfortunately.
Whew. Now that they solved the big problems like rape gangs, violent islamic gangs, murderous africans, they can tackle real problems like nail polish.

The way they do these studies is to feed mice ungodly amounts of the substance in question, orders of magnitude higher than any real world exposure, then cry ‘toxic!’ when the mice develop health problems and abnormalities. Also, after the substance ‘cures’ from its monomers, it is basically plastic and largely inert.
I know what a manicure and a pedicure is what they call that procedure?
