I remember being called out at church in 2008 when I questioned the use of "Spirit in the Sky" (which DC Talk covered) by the youth music (really dance) group at church for "never been a sinner, never sinned'. Kids claimed there was nothing wrong with their song. I don't think I've seen those folks in church today because they were groomed to never study the Word of God.
The Michael Tait story keeps getting nastier

Newbie doesn’t know what constitutes breaking news.
If he's still doing it, and if he promotes that kind of behavior, then he shouldn't have any kind of leadership presence in ministry (i.e. music). But if he repented of it years ago, and if he every now and then talks about how not to get tempted to do these things like he was, then he can speak a message of repentance that some people might hear and turn to the Lord over.

I am no fan of Michael Tait. I don’t even know who Michael Tait is. I understand the Brentwood police said they have no active case naming Michael Tait as a defendant. This is the extent of my knowledge of this individual.
IMHO, if the police have info on an alleged crime by Tait, they should, through the legal office of the prosecutor, bring charges.
IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BRENTWOOD PD TO EMPOWER A FISHING EXPEDITION TO TRY TO FIND A CRIME COMMITTED BY MICHAEL TAIT, OR ANY PERSON.
