I lived near Seattle many years ago. Pioneer Square was a wonderful place to go, safe with interesting shops and a couple of good restaurants.
Sure has gone to hell in a handbasket since then. Sad and infuriating.

About six years ago my brother and I went on a trip to Seattle to visit a cousin and I can tell you this, the folks in that neck of the woods are messed up!
They looked to be mostly foreigners who seemed to hate the very ground they stood on. They all had cell phones in their hands and a sour look on their faces. They didn’t like the looks of us, nor did we care for the looks of them.
There were very few American cars to be found, and pickup trucks were few compared to the rest of the nation..
As it turned out, our cousin did seem to be the normal sort. A fine religious fellow living in a modest home in the Tacoma area.
