A wardrobe malfunction caused some unexpected chaos during a WNBA matchup between the Washington Mystics and Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.
Late in the third quarter in Washington, the Mercury were on offense when All-Star Kahleah Copper tried to get open by maneuvering around a screen set by her teammate. Copper quickly scooped up her locks and ran towards the locker room, and a time out was called on the floor.
Commentator Mehgan McPeak reacted to the incident by repeating two words. “Oh no,” McPeak reacted, “Oh no, Oh no, she’s going to head to the back. Oh no.” Mercury teammates then picked up on a fan mocking Copper about the situation. It led to the team asking the officials to notify arena security to have the fan ejected.

Ejected fan probably said something like Don Imus said.

The person isn’t necessarily a “fan”. I can see not being allowed to throw things but not mock or perhaps even boo at a sports event? Sounds like a 1A violation.
These days, do you get thrown out for yelling "AIR BALL"?
I knew an old guy once who said something like, “Don’t let life intimidate you. If it snarls at you, snarl back—and mean it. If you don’t, you’re just exposing your soft underbelly to the worst bully you’ll ever face.”
Looks more like a man, but whatever.
It IS a violation of the first amendment, that’s right.
About 3/4s of the gals who play on the WNBA have shown that they shouldn’t be allowed to play in organized sports. They’re not mature enough to understand or appreciate ‘sportsmanship’.
Fans should be allowed to say anything they want as long as they’re not using expletives.
The WNBA has not stopped digging. Who wants to watch loud-mouthed lesbians?
What does ‘Air Ball’ mean?
Is it another way of saying “Hair Ball”?
Or is it a pass with the basketball that whizzes through the air and completely misses the target?
Star?
The announcer was saying “Oh No!” as though Copper suffered a gruesome injury.
Reminds of that female Olympic sprinter who had 4 inch fingernails, intricate hair weave and wore what looked like 5 lbs of chains during her races.
How does this possibly help you play better???
“not being allowed to throw things”
A green dildo was tossed on the floor at another game. I posted the story from Breitbart, but it went down the memory hole in a short time.
;)
An airball occurs when a player attempts to throw the ball into the net and misses both basket and backboard.
The only purpose the WNBA has for me is sideshow amusement. This incident is Gold Jerry....Gold!
The WNBA is just pretend basketball funded by the NBA to shut the lesbians up.
It DOESN’T.
