The Senate voted in the early hours of Thursday morning to end federal funding of NPR programs deemed wasteful and ideologically driven. Liberals say the move will reduce safety warnings for rural America, while conservatives point out that NPR has a history of pushing leftist narratives.
To celebrate ending its federal funding, here are some of the worst NPR articles from over the years.
Hunter Biden’s Laptop Is A “Pure Distraction” When the New York Post broke the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020, media outlets rushed to suppress the story. NPR decided not to cover it at all, saying, “We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions.”

Reduce safety warnings? The last place I’d go to for safety warnings is one that pathologically lies and withholds “problematic” information.
Thank you, but I can celebrate in silence.
The few times I turned it on in the past, it was fayg stories.
Long ago, NPR had a two-hour news program in the morning that went into details. It often ended with just 15 minutes of leftist drivel. The last I heard, it was I assume two hours of clamoring for government spending.
I used to financially support “public” broadcasting decades ago.
The Gimmes are into taking, not giving.
My vegan neighbor, admirable for walking five miles every day, rain, snow, or incredibly hot out, gets all her news on NPR. You should have heard her screaming at my friend Sean the day after Trump won the election. Of course about unfair election and women’s rights.
I used to work in a lab where this morning “news” program was played in the background. It was pure torture, second only to the Diane Rehm show.
The realities were irrelevant. Every morning it was “Republicans hurting women and minorities,” “Democrats fighting for programs that will help _____,” “Our morally superior European counterparts,” etc. One day I snapped and got my own bench radio and started playing Glenn Beck. Another colleague listened to it like it was the strangest stuff he ever heard.
I have yet to meet a “vegan” who wasn’t severely mentally ill.
“TRUTH IS A DISTRACTION”
Gloating. OTOH, what took so long?
