With the federal EV incentive set to expire at the end of September, Ford is urging its dealers to prepare for a rush of buyers.
Ford warns dealers of upcoming EV rush Like most automakers, Ford is preparing for a shakeup under the Trump Administration. After the “One Big Beautiful Bill” was signed into law on July 4, the $7,500 and $4,000 tax credit for new and used EVs will no longer be available after September 30.
In a memo sent to dealers this week, Ford warned, “demand is expected to increase as the deadline approaches for eligible vehicles.”
The letter (via CarsDirect) confirmed that the EV tax credit “will no longer be available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025.”
Ford blamed Trump’s new bill for the expected rush of EV buyers ahead of the incentive deadline. Although the Mustang Mach-E doesn’t qualify for the credit, since it’s built in Mexico, Ford is passing it on through a leasing loophole. While it’s still available, the F-150 Lightning does qualify for the credit when purchased or leased.

Perhaps Israel shouldn’t have funded and supported the terrorists who over threw the Assad regime.
Oh well…I guess Israel will just have to take over some more territory from them, kill more Christians and get one step closer to “Greater Israel”.
When are people going to wake up and understand what is going on here?

Then, again, maybe not
The liberal virtue signalers that would tolerate one of those oversized electric golf carts already have one of the damn things.
“EVs need incentives because they’re inferior products”
Oversized electric golf cart fanbois will not be pleased at that assessment.
I imagine they are already stocked up with way more EV’s than they want. In that business, you order what the customers want and the truck arrives with your order and a bunch of vehicles no one wants that you are lucky to break even on.
I wouldn’t even want one at a bargain price.
Teslas from the showroom catching fire.
Jack Frost nipping at your nose...
Funny how that is pronounced just like "mock-e".
Whoever authored that memo should be fired as they are part of the bad decisions that plagues Ford.
The Nissan TAMA EV of 1947 was successful, due to a shortage of gasoline but abundant electricity. The 4-seater EV had swappable 40v batteries with 65km range. Later used as a taxi until 1951 when gasoline was again abundant. Forerunner of the Nissan Leaf of today. Gasoline always wins against electric.
ya beat me to it.
did it take ‘special’ water and ‘special’ fuel?
just saw this today in the episode - Perilous Play
I don’t think too many customers will rush out to buy one of these EVs just because there is a rebate. They are still going to be a bit pricey if the EV in question is one of the better ones. Lie it said 2 customers per week instead of one is 100% increase. Not a big rush in normal terms. There is also a lot to consider other than the price before you decide you want one. I know I DON’T.
