Trump: Putin may have territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine

United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that "it is possible" Russian President Vladimir Putin might have "territorial ambitions" beyond Ukraine.

"I know one thing. He would like to settle. He would like to get out of this thing. It's a mess for him. He called the other day [and] said: Can I help you with Iran? I said no, you can help me with Russia," Trump told reporters while attending the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) summit.

The US head of state remarked that he believes Putin is a "misguided" person, adding that he thought the settlement between Moscow and Kiev would be easier to reach than it is.

If it takes Putin over 3 YEARS to capture another 5% or so of Ukraine (beyond the initial invasion), then I very much doubt he’s a threat to Europe, unless Europe chooses to ‘get cute’ by trying to blockade Russia, or whatever.

So maybe you guys need to start demonizing others in Russia, as Putin won’t be around long enough to go beyond Ukraine.

Trump knows those “squirrel-ous” gasbags who invited the little grunting rat to NATO are going to have to be feared into actually doing what they proclaim.

Wait for it. They won’t.

Trump will end this war before his inauguration.

“Putin might have “territorial ambitions”

In other news; Water may be wet and ice may be cold. Putin just wants to reconstitute the USSR. And then look at expanding it to the ends of the earth.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

People often confuse the European Union with the broader geography of Europe, but they’re not the same. And when we talk about Russia’s actions in Europe, that difference really matters.

Right now, Russia illegally occupies parts of several European countries. It controls Transnistria in Moldova, regions of Georgia like Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and of course, large parts of Ukraine—including Crimea, which it annexed in 2014. These are not vague disputes—these are clear violations of international law. Russia’s strategy is consistent: invade, destroy, steal, and claim territory as its own. It’s an old imperial mindset playing out in modern times.

And it hasn’t stopped. Russia regularly threatens the Baltic States and has carried out sabotage operations in the Baltic Sea. Its submarines have been spotted in Swedish waters, creating real tension even before Sweden formally joined NATO. Now, Russia is building up troops along Finland’s border—the exact kind of move we saw in the lead-up to the Ukraine invasion.

This isn’t just about war. It’s about Russia trying to dominate Europe again, not through diplomacy or cooperation, but through fear and force. That’s why Europe can’t afford to be naive. These aren’t isolated events — they’re part of a much bigger strategy to destabilize the region and roll back the independence of Russia’s neighbors.

Trump’s visit to NATO today was a tremendous success for America and NATO.
Trump has made NATO Great Again - great day!

I hear he also wants to win the lotto in all 50 States at the same time, to help fund his new intergalactic empire...

If you were silly enough to believe his sarcasm, as being more than sarcasm when he said he would get a deal in 24 hours, then that is on you.

He knew darn well that is would be a tough road to hoe, even though both sides had suffered great losses. For it was those great losses that would be the hurdle to overcome on both sides of the conflict.

If I recall correctly, it was Catherine the great who said something to the effect, that they couldn’t defend their borders, so they would expand them.
