A man 'intentionally' drove into a crowd of protestors at a 'No Kings Day' rally in Virginia as protests across the country descended into chaos.
Police in Los Angeles deployed less lethal munitions as protesters hurled concrete, rocks and fireworks at officers followed a day of mostly-peaceful protests in the city of Angels.
In northern Virginia, Joseph R. Checklick Jr., 21, drove his SUV through a dispersing crowd in a parking lot, which led to him 'striking at least one person with his vehicle,' police said in a statement.
The protest took place throughout Saturday afternoon in Culpeper, a small town roughly 70 miles from Washington, D.C.
President Donald Trump's birthday military parade was just starting when the incident occurred.
The person who was struck by his vehicle also hasn't been identified.
Checklick was charged with reckless driving. He could face more charges in the future, as the investigation is active and ongoing, police said. He is being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail.
Culpeper Democrats posted on Facebook, thanking Culpeper Police Department for their 'quick response and for keeping our protest safe.'

After J6 its just common sense to stay away from in-person contention like this. I accidentally drove past a huge crowd of “No kings” protestors today and just kept on driving & staying away from them.
Now I will be pushing hard in my correspondence with such supporters to show some concrete evidence that they are “no kings” for real. One clear litmus yest is if they are actually doing something, and not just being phony, about the systemic widespread violations of the 9th and 10th Amendment Rights of our that all government officials in all levels and branches of government always swear to uphold but then they violate and abuse it at the federal level.
They formed a 2-3 mile long line cars in the far right lane of a street, all of whom were turning right at a stop light .
Completely shut down the far right lane of traffic an they would let no one though.
