The CIA released 1,450 additional pages of documents related to the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy on Thursday, including 54 previously classified documents.
The files could shed new light on the motivations of Sirhan Sirhan, the Palestinian-born Jordanian citizen convicted of Kennedy’s murder after the 1968 shooting.
One of the handwritten notes includes the lines “Kennedy must fall” and “tonight, tonight.”
Other records will disclose details about a trip that RFK took with former Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas to the Soviet Union in 1955, during which the future US attorney general and senator “served the Agency as a voluntary informant.”
A CIA official said that the documents about Kennedy’s journey “exemplifies the depth of his patriotism and commitment to serving his country,” knowing that “the USSR was our top adversary at the time.”
The information on Sirhan covers his family history and international ties but notes that the gunman was never connected to any terrorist groups, the official added.
“Today’s release delivers on President Trump’s commitment to maximum transparency, enabling the CIA to shine light on information that serves the public interest,” said CIA Director John Ratcliffe in a statement.
“I am proud to share our work on this incredibly important topic with the American people.”
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard previously released more than 10,000 pages about the senator’s murder at a Los Angeles hotel following his victory in the 1968 California Democratic presidential primary.
“I commend President Trump for his courage and his commitment to transparency,” Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the third of RFK’s 11 children, added in his own statement. “I’m grateful also to Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe for their dogged efforts to root out and declassify these documents.”

RFK Jr. has said the CIA killed his father.
The hotel security guard, Thane Eugene Cesar, grabbed RFK’S arm and shot him point blank in the head 2 inches behind his ear. Gun powder residue was all over the entry point wound.
Cesar worked for the CIA.

🚨BREAKING: The CIA has released 54 declassified documents on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.

The autopsy showed the deadly bullet was fired from behind. Sirhan was in front.
In 2021 a California parole board granted Sirhan Sirhan parole. But Governor Newsom blocked it, and Sirhan remains in prison.
Ain’t that something?
He’s 81 years old. I say release him and let him return to the Middle East where he just might receive a hero’s welcome. Too old to cause trouble again and let the moozlems pay for his health care. Perhaps he may open up more.
I could see an Oval Office visit with Jr. in the room provided his doing the shooting is not proven.
Sirhan Sirhan freely admits to shooting RFK. But that means nothing.
Maybe Sirhan really did shoot RFK
Or maybe someone else did, and Sirhan just likes the fame.
Or maybe someone else did, and Sirhan’s family has been paid off.
Marilyn vos Savant supposedly has the world’s highest IQ. She once said that if she could invent only one thing, it would be a fool-proof lie detector. That detector sure would come in handy now.
One of the few and far between things Newsom has done right. Had Sirhan been released, he would have been paraded around the Middle East as a hero.
RFK Jr. has said the CIA killed his father.

….and so did my mother and father, I remember them discussing the assassination. No one in our neighborhood believed the official “ story”, not one.
The general public knew of JFK’s narcotic use, affairs, “ neogotiating” with the Soviets. JFK was much hated by our intelligence agencies. Much like today, the dreaded Russian Derangement Syndrome was prevalent ( and rightfully so with the Soviets ) amongst all our agencies.
Life in those times was much different.
You are correct about Thane Eugene Cesar. Sirhan was never in a position to fire bullets behind RFK’s right ear much less close enough to leave powder burns on the wound.
But Sirhan had the gun in his hand and was shooting it. Were they somehow working together?
I always thought LBJ was behind the assassination.

Football legend Rosey Grier was present, and working as a bodyguard the night RFK was shot. Grier was also a family friend.
Grier has said many times that he wrenched a gun from Sirhan. If Grier is to be believed, Sirhan was at minimum part of a conspiracy and not just some innocent patsy.

IIRC Rafer Johnson was there as well.
One of the sad consequences of the RFK assassination, is it cleared the way for the Radical Leftists to take over the Democratic Party.
He was the patsy. Doesn’t make him innocent, means he wasn’t the one who fired the fatal bullet.
A communist killed Jack.
A Palestinian killed Robert.
We’re still fighting them today.
Like the old saying, if you’re in a conspiracy and you don’t know who the patsy is, it’s you.
The people who took out JFK had to make sure his brother didn’t make it to the White House.
IIRC Sirhan Sirhan was not a Muslim.
