Just hold out until you get cataracts, and everything gets fixed at once.
That's what I'm waiting for: whole lens replacement. Fortunately or unfortunately my cataracts stopped progressing below the point where insurance would pay for lens replacement. It's down to about $2K per eye for non-astigmatic replacements in Germany or Poland.
That’s what I did. I put lens replacement off longer than practical because of white coat phobia when it comes to eyes but my doctor said the last prescription he could give me for trifocals wouldn’t last a year. Woke up the day of the first surgery in near panic.....prep took about half again as much sedation as necessary for surgery that lasted less than 12 minutes. 3 years later I still want to kick myself for delaying so long..... So far, the Toric multfocal lens replacement has been flawless. Both eyes corrected from 20/60 and 20/90 to 20/25.

There is something to this statement. I got LASIK when i was about 50. It was very successful and i was very happy until the cataracts came 20 years later. My ophthalmologist then tells me that the algorithm they use to select the appropriate lens replacement doesn’t work well if you have had LASIK. He would just make an educated guess. He turned out to be 50% correct. I got one eye good on distance and one better for reading. I was not happy at first but have gotten used to it and am now happy with it. I can read the dashboard and things on shelves as well as my iPhone right now without readers.
