Good for you. I never smoked cigarettes, but for a few years I was into cigars, the premium hand rolled expensive ones. I finally quit those. I was a moderate drinker, but had to give that up because of my liver. A transplant fixed me up, but my immune system isn’t done with me. Ulcerative Colitis (31 years) and Sarcoidosis-what destroyed my liver-are still with me. Meds keep me from drinking anymore. A small price to pay.

I smoked for 50 years, a small cancer was discovered. It required that my top lobe of my right lung to be removed. But am cancer free for perhaps 7 years now. I no longer smoke. My wife followed me a couple years later, only the left lung, and she is no longer a smoker either.

Interestingly enough, I occasionally get the urge for a cigarette but it quickly passes. πŸ™‚πŸ‘
