9 whole days, eh?
What a joke.
How do they know the vegan group wasn’t loading up on steak the week before?
There would have to be a washout period where they were all eating the exact same thing before the study started.
Not a good plan to believe all you read when so many studies are retracted for fraud and poor design. Espcially not studies that support the woke point of view. The conclusion of this study is frankly unbelievable.
Conclusion first.
“Science” second.
90+ grams of protein from plants???
How long do you have to graze to get that much?
Rather let the cow process it for me and eat the cow.
Actually almost no modern diet has enough taurine in it.
With a very small sample over a short period I have come to the conclusion that it is a vital nutrient especially for the elderly.
So... you might want to take it. Or not.
Your choice.
Cows get huge. They have 4 stomachs...........We are not cows.
All those so-called ‘Energy Drinks’ have taurine..........
in a study they likely make sure they fed them variety of proteins needed, but in real life, most vegetarians or vegans likely are not focused on making sure they get in various types of proteins so the body can have all it needs to create healthy muscle and all the other things proteins do in the body. There wouldn’t be so many types of protein used throughout the body if we only ever needed one or 2 types
I’m a ‘Second-Hand Vegetarian’.
Cows eat vegetables.
I eat cows.....................
“when protein intake”
There the lie. Vegan’s can’t match the natural protein intake of meat eaters. To match the normal protein intake of a 250LB body builder, the vegan would need to ingest 18 cups of equivalent plant based protein like nuts, tofu etc
Remember Vegan do not do dairy so they cannot use milk, whey protein shakes etc to beef up their daily protein intake.
The issue of plant diets is calorie density. There is a reason why every herbivore eats all day long, but carnivores are closer to eating just on occasion.
I wonder who financed the study - perhaps USAID?
I have never seen a picture of a vegan or a real live vegan who wasn’t emaciated looking. They may build muscle just as well as meat eaters but they hide it pretty well.
why can’t we eat what WE want to eat without the peanuts and tofu gallery judging us? STAY OUT OF MY KITCHEN!
But that was partly what put me on the scent.
My dad has been failing for a while, muscle weakness and some other symptoms. Doctors have no real idea why and have proposed no treatment. I decided to see what I could find that might help. Honestly at that point I was throwing things at the wall to see what would stick. I was looking at everything that might help with muscle weakness and cramping. And taurine was one of the things that popped up as something body builders were using. I figured it could not hurt so....
He is actually getting up and walking around now and the cramping has gone away.
Not saying it was the taurine for sure. Just that since he has been on it he has improved markedly.
Or maybe it was just the enormous amount of prayer. Been doing that too.
About 9 cups of natural protein. That a lot of nuts and tofu to get to get the same protein load that eating 2 chicken breast will give you
That is the sort of medicine when you get studies done with grants. The “scientists” had better make findings compatible with the desires of the source of the grant or he won’t get another. Studies of things that are plain obvious don’t get done.
Study sponsored / funded by PETA?
