The Starliner: worse than we thought
American Thinker ^ | 21 Apr, 2025 | Mike McDaniel

In Astronauts carefully tell the truth, I noted astronaut Butch Wilmore confirmed Elon Musk’s assertion that he and Suni Williams really were stranded on the ISS, and that Musk offered to bring them home during Biden’s Handler’s Administration but was refused because they didn’t want Biden to look bad before the election.

The Biden Administration and the Democrat media went to great lengths to deny they were stranded. Arizona Democrat Senator Mark Kelly’s brother Scott claimed there was always a capsule docked there so they could come home at will. While there was a capsule docked, it was there as a "the ISS has totally failed” measure for every astronaut on the International Space Station. Wilmore and Williams’ eight day mission at the ISS stretched to nearly a year as NASA couldn’t figure out what was wrong with their “Starliner." At Donald Trump’s request, Musk sent a SpaceX capsule to bring them home.

Graphic: Boeing/NASA Starliner docked at ISS. Public Domain.

Now we’re learning the problems with the Starliner were far worse than NASA has admitted.

They were so severe Wilmore didn’t know if the thrusters would work well enough to allow him to dock with the ISS, and had no idea if they’d function well enough to de-orbit the capsule without burning up in the atmosphere.

If they couldn’t dock, their oxygen would quickly run out, and if they couldn’t de-orbit in the proper orientation they’d immolate.

Fortunately, they were, barely, able to dock. NASA couldn’t diagnose the problem from Earth and eventually decided to try to bring the Starliner back empty. It made it back in one piece but Boeing still doesn’t know what went wrong or if it will ever fly again.

Wilmore added that he felt pretty confident, in the aftermath of docking to the space station, that Starliner probably would not be their ride home.

But it was designed and assembled using the latest DEI practices, and THAT is the most important thing.

Mark Kelly is the worst, willing to sacrifice his fellow astronauts for politics.

DEIs had thousands, if not millions of years to get us into space, but they could not even develop hot air balloons. The idea that they could build something as complex as a spacecraft capable of docking is PREPOSTEROUS. In fact only 3 non-DEI societies have managed to pull that off (China, Russia, and pre-DEI USA).

The problem with Kelly’s assertion that they could have come home anytime on that capsule ignores the fact that SpaceX and Boeing have very different suit connections.

Kind of the same as how he did with his wife.

That’s likely why they had to wait for the Soace X replacement crew. They needed two extra spacesuits that the team 10 brought with them.

“Arizona Democrat Senator Mark Kelly’s brother Scott claimed there was always a capsule docked there so they could come home at will.”

Correct. I saw this interview and immediately knew it was political spin. Biden didn’t want to make Trump supporting Musk a hero during the election. Democrats are so superficial.

The Democrats act like a lynch mob that always demands absolute loyalty to ideology over truth. And if Kelly didn't obey and do the Party's bidding, he would be quickly cancelled and isolated.

Ergo, Democrats have no, nada, zero integrity.

"Mark Kelly is the worst, willing to sacrifice his fellow astronauts for politics."

The Dems are willing to sacrifice anything and everything for politics.

Just those disgusting pictures of Biden sniffing Senator Chris Coon's daughter and Sec Def Ashton Carter's wife tells you all you need to know.

His brother “astronaut”, Scottie, is even goofier than he is. The Kelly family raised a couple of knuckleheads.

SpaceX suits had to be flown up for them on a cargo flight.

The problem began when Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas and moved corporate to chicago.

Boeing was run by engineers and if there was a problem they could walk next door to the plant.

“Managers” are killing them.

The problem is and has been (at least since the SST scam) that Boeing has thrived and expanded its business by corrupting gubmint procurement practices. Now that there's SpaceX, the piss poor work Boeing does has come into stark contrast. Even with help (ULA, Blue Origin) Boeing has shown that it can't get it done.
