The world’s most expensive — and unique — dog has sold for a fetching $5.7 million. Being the first of its kind, this is pooch is a cross between an actual wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd — which can sound like a sci-fi movie plot.
An Indian dog enthusiast barked up the big bucks for the “wolfdog” named Cadabomb Okami, touted as the rarest dog in the world.
This extravagant pup was born in the US and is only eight months old — but already weighs over 165 lbs and is 30 inches tall.
Being part Shepherd, at heart Okami is a guardian breed — known for its protective instincts and intelligence — that “should never be taken lightly,” according to the American Kennel Club. Knowing this, Okami will make for a good watchdog.

Wolf dogs are often nutty and wild.
Don’t be surprised if someday the only thing they will find is a bloody arm with chew marks.
Yeah I like the wolf pretty well bred out of my dogs
Imagine picking up the dog shiite from him on walks....
Probably a lovable pup
I certainly wouldn’t have an F1.
Try an Irish Wolfhound. Even as a babe, they make puddy lakes rather than puppy puddles. And gain 10 lbs/week. Best lapdogs ever. They just never think to look where they’re landing before they collapse.
Poor thing is just going to be an accessory until the guy gets bored of it. Hopefully it doesn’t end up in India. Too hot for a Caucasian Shepherd and a wolf.
Caucasian Shepherds are a breed. Crossing them with wolves makes the offspring a hybrid not a breed.
Wolf crosses are notorious for wacky behavior. Some are OK but too many are majorly unstable.
The guy who paid big bucks for one is a sucker.
I don’t think a Wolfhound has any similarity to a Wolfdog.
LOL !! I hear you. 😄
I have the same dilemma with my 2 Great Danes.
They didn't.
Mutts are priceless.
This reminds me a Russian who breeds foxes. He took the most tame and bred them with the others. Then after a few generations they got floppy ears, spots, and saggy tails. Very interesting...
You couldn’t pay me to have one of those wolf/dog hybrids. We had neighbors who had 2 German shepherd/wolf dogs. They kept them in a chain link pen about 8 or 9 feet high. Those dogs kept climbing out of that pen till the owners put chain link across the top. We had goats. Two of them gave birth to 2 babies each. Those crazy wolf/dogs dug under their pen, came onto our property and killed the baby goats and one of the Mom’s. Chewed the other Mom up pretty good but she lived.
We called animal control. They told us if we ever saw those wolf/dogs on our property again we could shoot them since they destroyed our livestock. We told the neighbor what the animal control officer told us....and said we would do it if their “dogs” ever came on our property again. Wasn’t long after that they got rid of those crazy wolf/dogs. I was glad to see them go!
He’s going to pee everywhere
