I keep telling people the EV technology will catch up.

People sneer at EVs the same way they used to sneer at hybrids.

“People sneer at EVs the same way they used to sneer at hybrids.”

Some here sneer at cellphones, particularly smart phones.

My personal preference has always been this β€” GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE BUSINESS OF PICKING AND CHOOSING WHICH TYPE OF VEHICLES PEOPLE SHOULD DRIVE.

Let the makers compete to produce something that is value for money.

Eventually, technology and innovation will meet what customers demand.

No argument, but the technology is not there yet.

I keep yelling people that almost half the hones in this country still gave a 60 A service.

That even if you have a 200A service, you might not he able to afford the electricity.

And even if you have the power and the money, you still might not be able to charge it at home thanks to zoning codes.

EVs are fine for anyone who wants them, but I won’t be trading in my ICE vehicles any time soon.

Plug in hybrids are the ultimate solution. The automobile manufacturers can churn them out at will. My opinion, is they hold back on plug-ins, so they can charge 5-7 thousand more than for an identical hybrid. Adding plug-in capability costs them what? $500?

Anyone that wants an EV should get one. Anyone that wants a gas car should get one. 71% of EV owners also own gas cars.

I still sneer at hybrids. Expensive without any payback at all. Massive SuperFund waiting to happen.
