For 14 years, Syria has been engulfed in a civil war. Until three months ago, dictator Bashar al-Assad controlled the government, but he was overthrown by the Jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist organization.
While Assad had many faults he did protect the Christian minority in Syria. However, as noted by commentator Tucker Carlson, as the civil war progressed, “the percentage of Christians in Syria went from ten percent to two percent.”

My theory on Syria is that it’s all Hamas’s fault. Follow me here.
Hamas’s attacks Israel on October 7th, 2023, expecting support from Hezbollah, hopefully (and possibly promised) as an invasion from Lebanon.
Hezbollah dutifully initiates two years of near daily rocket attacks on the civilians of Northern Israel on the very next day, October 8th, 2023. But doesn’t invade as hamass had hoped.
Israeli refugees stream South in numbers around 60,000 over the next few weeks, and remain in government paid rooms all around the country. I saw a bunch of these people in Eilat, living in hotels on the government dime.
As hamass gets its ass handed to it and is somewhat under control by late Summer 2024, Israel turns its attention to hezbollah and its unsustainable bombardment of the north. Pagers, walkie talkies, radios, jeans, bunker busters, everything Israel could throw at them to stop the rockets. Cleaned those mo fos out.
Assad’s opponents sense an opportunity. With a key leg of support knocked out from under Assad (recalling that he barely survived the last insurrection with massive support from a now destroyed hezbollah), the rebels launch an attack from the North supported by Turkey.
Assad’s own army realizes the jig is up, since without hezbollah, they don’t stand a chance, and strip off their uniforms and run for the proverbial hills (except “the hills” are the Alawite homeland on the coast).
Voila! Hamass unintentionally brings down Assad.
In before FR’s “Nitzy” declares that muslims murdering Christians is the “Jews Fault” (tm)!
Yep, good summary. However, you miss the Neocon involvement. Remember our bases in Syria - they were almost certainly arming the terrorists also, particularly with drones. Assad was stuck with yesterday’s military, so he never had a chance.
Another ‘success’ story for the Neocons, although, so far, it’s only thousands of Christians dead in Syria, unlike what is probably more than a million Christians dead in the war they started in Ukraine - which is the ‘success’ story that the Neocons will be telling their grandchildren about for generations.
I consider myself well informed. But I’ve reached a point of psychological burnout. The problem is, I understand a lot but can’t actually affect anything. There’s stress in that. I see X. I know X will cause y. Y does come about, and people suffer. The fact that I saw it coming, knew it would happen and finally watched it happen...all while being able to do nothing about it has resulted in me backing away and just dealing with the things within my control.
I scan the headlines on FR and where I would normally read an article, I just move on to something less stressful.
On the good side...the really, really great side, the LGB and Trans insanity seems to be well and truly on its way out. Hundreds of thousands of lives have been destroyed, but the worst of it seems to be ending. The rain is over, and the sun is coming out.
Why?
Current Death toll on coastal area of Syria? Alawites slaughtered come to 10,172. (tally by reports to Telegram)
Absolutely sickening. Justifies total destruction of the so called leaders of Syria.
The Sunni ISIS freaks are gleeful.
Absolutely sickening video’s.

Not old bases. Turkey is supplying the ISIS Jihadi’s.
“The old order changeth yielding place to new And God fulfills himself in many ways Lest one good custom should corrupt the world. Comfort thyself: what comfort is in me I have lived my life and that which I have done May he within himself make pure but thou If thou shouldst never see my face again Pray for my soul. More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”
― Alfred, Lord Tennyson
At some point, there are more of them (young people) than there are of us(old people). We can no longer maintain the control we once held. Nancy Pelosi holds on tenaciously while having all kinds to treatment to appear youthful. At the recent presidential speech, she was on camera several times. If you looked carefully, you could observe that she was holding a cane. It was hard to discern because she vainly covered it with a silk scarf.
However, for those of us who enjoy both age and wisdom and good health, the problem becomes what shall we do? I chose to remain active as possible but no longer buck the system being fought over by the younger generations.
Not my country. Couldn’t care less.
Countries exist for a reason and this is one of them: Separation of concerns.
If it happens here, we’ll step in.
Once again and in typical fashion, Arabs are slaughtering Arabs but this is known as Middle East Peace.
Middle East War is when Jews fight back.
Where is the outrage? Where are the protesters?
Perhaps then end result is that Arab kill Arab until none are left to bother the rest of us.

‘Can You Name Other Instances Of Foreign Aid Going To Terrorist Organizations?’: Burchett To Witness
https://youtu.be/jQKXy2o2JAA
Feb 27, 2025
At yesterday’s House Oversight Committee’s Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) spoke to witnesses about alleged USAID spending.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Are you aware that we are sending $40 million a week to the Taliban.
Premarak:
Yes, Sir.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Can you name other instances of foreign aid going to terrorist organizations?
Premarak:
We have assisted al Shabaab in Somalia. There’s been instances of the Humsey Network in Sudan, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Kabaliba, Hezbollah, Hayat al Shams in Syria.Dozens of terror organizations have received indirect assistance from US foreign aid.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Could you elaborate a little bit on the mechanisms in place that are to stop foreign aid and go into terrorist groups and why are they not working if we have any in place and I wouldn’t know that these are you notice these are. There’s weaponry Season 8 K’s SKS is some snipers, some clips some.Clip carriers probably made in China and I believe these are small landmines here beside right there
Premarak:
let’s. Choose Gaza as our case study $2.1 billion in American taxpayers money to Gaza since October 7th when Hamas invaded southern Israel. USAID money was going in terms of an emergency use authorization to try to go to parties that USAID formerly had a relationship with in the Gaza Strip. They had to have been vetted by OFAC.They should have been vetted against the special designated terrorists from the State Department and from other Treasury organizations. Waivers were granted because they said that there was an emergency used to have that money come in to Gaza, thereby jettisoning the usual typical screening procedures. As a result, 90% of aid that was going from the United States by.Its agents in Gaza ended up in Hamas controlled areas and this is ridiculous. Essentially what the US assistance to Gaza did was underwrite the ability for Hamas to survive until the ceasefire was just passed a few weeks ago. There was no strategic thought for it and there was no screaming.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Seems like the emergency might have been an armed terrorist to kill civilians. Would that be accurate?
Premarak:
That’s accurate, and even more than that. Samantha Powers, the administrator for USAID, was intent on having Israel not be able to defend itself. To not be able to defend, correct.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Mr. Primerak, is that correct? How do you say that, Premarak? I got Burchett, man. Nobody gets mine right. So don’t don’t worry about it. What is it?
Primerak:
Perfect.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
All right. Thanks, brother. How did terrorists explore our foreign aid loopholes?
Premarak:
What we have, we have a lot of our Internet. you have international NGOs and UN agencies actively lobby here in Washington, DC against vetting, vetting policies that would prevent it. I was the senior vetting officer at USAID. And what did
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
you say? United Nations is doing this, the UN? Everybody’s.
Premarak:
Sure, everybody’s, everybody’s getting money lobbies here, but they’re lobbying against us. I’m sorry, Mr. Roman, you’re there’s actually someone who used to work for one of those lobbies, the largest NGO lobby interaction. One of our Co witnesses here worked for them for 2018 to 2023.USAID effectively self funds its own external private lobby that then goes back to Congress and asks for more money for USAID.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
So the taxpayers fund this lobbyist who’s working against American interests,
Premarak:
Correct?
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Possibly killing our allies and possibly Americans.
Premarak:
They bring together groups in Washington that overseas work with groups that kill Americans.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Yeah. I don’t need a flow chart to show that. I appreciate it. Do you think USAID programs have been aligned with the national security interest of the US?
Premarak:
No, they have not. They have actually helped China, Mr. Roman. No. OK.How do these programs compromise our national security, Mr. Premarak?
Premarak:
They actually pushed China. They actually pushed much of the world towards China on the green energy agenda. They push people, ordinary people, billions of people towards China because of the resentment caused by our social reengineering.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Are we made lobbied by these pro communist China groups currently?
Premarak:
A lot of these countries don’t even have to lobby ‘cause they get the money anyway. Like South Africa. Yeah, and in fact, these lobbyists have come to the House and they’ve tried to kill legislation like HR 160, which was meant to increase transparency in USAID’s funding of overseas organizations.Current piece of legislation that’s from the last session. Lastly,
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
and give me that number again,
Premarak:
HR 160.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
And what does it do?
Premarak:
It was meant to give US lawmakers the ability to have higher transparency and terror financing investigations aimed at scrutinizing extremist groups.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
Mr. Premarak.
Premarak:
We had a regulation before we left in the last administration that anybody who touches money in the area, in countries where there’s terrorists, those names have to go through databases, terrorist databases. That was overturned by Biden,
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN):
overturned by Biden. Chair lady, I am currently.5 seconds, but I wanted to mention something. There’s a lot of rhetoric used on this committee, and I would urge my friends on both sides of the aisle let’s stick to the actual information. This rhetoric is. I’ve received death threats and I know the chair lady has.And it needs to stop. We need to tone it down. Thank you,
The inconvenient truth is…the West wanted the outlyer Assad GONE because he was opposed to their economic plans, and too tight with the Iranians who had propped up Syria financially for many decades, starting with his father. And then as a secular leader, as an allh with the Russians, to try to hold the line vs islamism. Because what is happening now with the slaughter of the ideologically impure ( in the beliefs of radical islamist militias) was entirely predictable.
The inconvenient truth is, he was better than all the alternatives for the Syrian nation.
He was 4 times elected, but as typical, any elections that dont go the way Washington wants them to go, are deemed “rigged” or invalid.
Thanks for being true to form.
But but.... democracy!
What does Ukraine have that Syria doesn’t? Ukrainians aren’t more alive than Syrians. I would guess Ukraine has something of value to the world’s elite.... Likely information.
Posted before you read my #3 predicting your tiresome anti-semitism.
Why would Israel wait until after Assad was gone to destroy 80% of his military?
Israel was not anti-Assad, or they would have done exactly that some years earlier.
Israel wasn’t pro-Assad either. He was just a conduit for Iranian weapons going to Hezbollah for use on Israeli citizens of the North.
Prebunking at its finest.
Maybe be less predictable in your anti-semitism.
The “silence” is because this is 100% on the Russia-haters, Isreal-firsters and neocons who pushed it.
This current form of ISIS has suddenly become our friend. We’re told they’re our buddies now.
Yes, your prebunking skills are incredible.
It reminds me of the time immediately after the fall of Assad when I said this was Israel’s doing and it would lead to the death of Christians.
You said it was not Israel’s doing (it was Turkey).
Then I showed where Netanyahu took credit for it.
You then agreed that is was Israel’s doing but it wouldn’t lead to the death of Christians because Assad was way worse.
Now that Christians are dying your only plan is to say anyone who called it correctly the whole time is “antisemitic”.
How long do you think that will work? Aren’t you concerned that if you call everything antisemitism, people may stop being afraid of being called it?
