Interesting that the Democrat party was so much more interested in pursuing American tax cheats than they were foreign invaders.

What about the 80 - 90,000 new IRS employees hired by Biden last year?

They’re most likely ALLl FJB/odongo DEI hires....fire em all. Not qualified, not needed...byeee.

Some, not all.

Many will be recent hires for federal positions that we rely on (it's a large pool, not all fluff).

Some will be Veterans, and some of them with disabilities. (As a side note, Veterans received a well-earned hiring preference since 1944. Mister Biden quietly removed this on Dec 7, 2024).

On matters of public safety, homeland security, govt accountability, and other issues of critical importance to us Citizens, we should take our time to evaluate carefully each fed employee on probationary period, especially in areas upon which we depend for our Nation's true well-being.

Retain the good performers, especially Veterans and especially those performing valuable service.

I really have a hard time understanding how MOST of the work of an IRS agent couldn’t be done by software. After all, the tax forms are all standardized, “Box 1, Box 2”, etc.

The 80,000 plus new hires need to go, and immediately. Then, DOGE needs to closely look at the high-middle managers and seniors.

Another good area for DOGE to examine is the massive number of preferred small businesses running contracts to IRS and other Federal civil agencies. Most claim to be US-based small businesses, but are in fact run by first generation immigrants with back offices where the actual work is performed back in the old country. The largest pool of such companies are based in India.

Over 90% of returns are electronic and do not require humans to process.

“...civil service protection...”

How do I gain protection from civil service? I can’t fire civil service or vote out civil service. Where is my protection from unelected, unaccountable civil service?

The only option I have is to organize an armed rebellion against these fascists, like in 1776.

These “highly skilled” federal employees should not have a very hard time finding a job. California could certainly use a few more firefighters.

Sounds like a good first stage of cuts.

I would suggest against trying to replace the income tax with another cumbersome tax. The Democrats will simply jack up the sales tax % the moment they gain office.

Over 90% of returns are electronic and do not require humans to process.

During the height of Covid, most people that filed online received their refunds to their bank accounts in a couple of weeks. It took 6 to 9 months if one filed a paper form..

The senile guy made lots of announcements.

It takes some serious research to figure out if all or part of none of his “IRS agents hired” claim happened in the real world.

I am not sure exactly how the civil service works with the feds, but in general it is a seniority based system. If there are layoffs, the more senior civil service workers keep their jobs by bumping junior workers. It is a similar process that happens when a private sector union shop has layoffs. This is mostly for hourly workers and not for salaried workers.

Or just get FedGov out of everyone’s business. Every spending bill is split by 535, then each State is responsible per its share of CongressCritters.

Tarrifs go to the debt until it’s paid off, then build a rainy day fund of, say, 5% of GDP, then reduce State payments split as above.
