Senior officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) were placed on administrative leave after they refused to turn over classified material to teams from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Officials spoke with The Associated Press on Sunday to say USAID members were eventually unsuccessful and DOGE teams were able to gain access to some of the agency’s classified information, including intelligence reports.

John Voorhees and deputy Brian McGill were the two employees that believed they were legally obligated to deny DOGE teams access after they didn’t have a high enough security clearance. They refused to allow the DOGE employees in and threatened to call U.S. Marshalls, NBC News reported.

Trump's administration is moving at a galloping pace; the black hat resistance would be even more intense if Trump's people moved at a bureaucratic pace.

USAID seems to be the worst of the worst of the globalist, leftist, woke, intel, DC deep-state corruption. Moreover, it had become a threat to the Republic, promoting EU-style censorship and “misinformation” monitoring via Fed.gov

Let’s hope its entirely smashed to bits

Why would an aid agency require security clearances? They send money to provide water, food and such to the underworld.

Just imagine all of Deep Staters, all of their useful idiots with Federal government paychecks, the ones already sent packing, and the ones soon to be sent packing.

I can just hear them, some even out loud: “How the hell did that assassin miss?”

Love me some trump, but they can’t let unleaded or insufficiently cleared people see things of higher classification. This is gonna get bad. “Let me into the armory.” “I’m, no” “I’m from a presidential advisory board” “and...if you were the sheriff himself and you try to force your way into a federal armor, i will have to shoot you”

Who is the ultimate classification authority?

Thanks for your concern, noted.

In the meantime, the chief executive officer is determined to find out what happened in his executive branch for the past 4+ years because his electors demanded it. And prosecutions won't be possible without supporting evidence.

With the attendant political risk in a failure, I’m convinced Trump had an insider prove to him with documents where the bodies are buried at USAID. I look forward to the Big Reveal ro keep the momentum going. Yeehaw!

Yes. The president call call something unclassified. But til he does, it ain’t. And people have taken an oath to protect it. A presidential advisory board is not the federal government. That’s my point. He could empower someone, appoint someone, use the IG, whayever...but we’re doge and we wanna see aint gonna cut it. I’m from doge, lemme aboard this nuclear submarine right now!. Um nope. Nut i advise the president! Cool story...do it right or I don’t believe you. They can read the doge people on and potus can grant clearances and disclosure agreements at any level of classification, caveat or sap. But if they didnt...can’t say as u would allow access either. Do it right.

Trump could just issue a blanket security clearance for DOGE. He is the chief executive.

It would be interesting to learn the details of how the career bureaucrats blocked access. Were they confrontational and belligerent? Why did they have to be escorted out?

Here is another instance of the bureaucracy resisting Trump:

Acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll is on shaky ground with Department of Justice leaders for refusing to deliver the names of bureau employees involved in Jan. 6 cases and other Trump investigations. President Trump tapped Mr. Driscoll, an FBI veteran, to lead the bureau temporarily while his nominee for director, Kash Patel, goes through the Senate confirmation process. But questions remain over whether Mr. Driscoll can stay in the job before Mr. Patel is confirmed and sworn in. Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove on Friday ordered Mr. Driscoll to compile a list of all current and former FBI employees assigned “at any time” to the investigation of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol for review “to determine whether any additional personnel actions are necessary.”

USAID Senior Officials put on Leave after Physically Trying to stop DOGE from accessing Agency Systems

Two USAID officials, John Voorhees and his deputy, were put on leave late Saturday night after refusing to allow DOGE members access to USAID systems. The DOGE members threatened to physically call the police after being refused entry. They were trying to access the security and personnel files.

Federal Officials are concerned that Trump is trying to fold USAID into the US State Department in an effort to cut Government corruption and bloat.

USAID employs approx. 10,000 people, excluding contractors, with 2/3 of them overseas. 60 USAID members were already put on leave last week after trying to circumvent President Trump’s executive order on stopping foreign aid.

we’re doge and we wanna see aint gonna cut it.

Why do you assume DOGE personnel weren't cleared and read-in to handle classified information? I think this assumption is incorrect.

A presidential advisory board is not the federal government.

DOGE is federal government. Trump made it official on January 20th. Read this executive order:

"The United States Digital Service is hereby publicly renamed as the United States DOGE Service (USDS) and shall be established in the Executive Office of the President."

ESTABLISHING AND IMPLEMENTING THE PRESIDENT’S “DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY”
