This raises the question of how best to ferret out the Deep Staters from our federal bureaucracies?

Wholesale housecleaning by handing pink slips to all the senior executives, much like the do-nothing, DEI hire herself Ms. Boykin, might be effective, but it risks paralyzing any legitimate activity and invites a massive number of lawsuits against the Administration for wrongful termination.

Continuing to enact and implement common sense rules and policies might encourage a number of these left-leaning losers to voluntarily resign, but that could take a long time, and I wouldn’t want to underestimate the ability of these bureaucratic barnacles to stubbornly resist removal. We certainly need policies that make it easier to fire them.

I really don’t know the answer, so how DO we get to a place where government becomes much, much smaller, more efficient, and focused on serving the American people? Serious question.

In some cases, it is real easy. In the DoD we always could tell who these people were. One deployment to the green zone and a career made by telling how great they were during that one deployment. The people we knew we could count on made mutiple deployments to really s****y places and they usually didn’t get promoted beuase they were not in DC promoting themselves.

Promote the guys who did everything they could to stay out of DC. I know lots of those guys.

If I could not fire a DEI type I would immediately detail them to Alaska or Antarctica or nuclear missile bases in the Dakotas for six months.

You can do that to any federal employee.

90+% would quit at that point—and remember the perfect is the enemy of the good.

Then you have six months to deal with the bureaucratic mess trying to get them fired.

These are the guys in the chain to prevent Trump's orders from being executed. Lying by shifting titles and covering up is a felony. They can be fired immediately for that.

The DEI commissars will have to be bribed to quit with generous severance packages.
