During Carrie Underwood's performance of "America the Beautiful" at the inauguration (a few minutes ago), she was supposed to be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. However, there was a significant issue: the musical accompaniment did not play, leading her to perform the song a cappella instead.
This unexpected turn prompted her to invite the audience to sing along with her during the performance.
What happened?
Despite the initial plans for a choral accompaniment, Underwood managed to engage the crowd and complete her performance successfully under challenging circumstances.

Our military is more invested in pronouns than patriotic duty.
I guess a detail of the transition to indoors got overlooked.
She only sang the first verse, perhaps because wokies don’t like the other verses, or perhaps because she thought it best to quit since the accompaniment was nonexistent.
I was hoping someone would bring this up. I was too lazy to start a thread on it.

Happens sometimes, but this should have been practiced and cued.

I saw the glee club singing along.
The issue was with the music. Was the music a recording? They had a band there. Not sure what happened with that.

BTW, the thought crossed my mind that it wasn’t an accident... but what do we know. :P
She did GREAT and it was great that she got everyone to sing along that is how it should be..she has an amazing voice
