I’ve been watching Emergency! on MeTV lately. About the only way they could successfully re-make that today would be as a dark comedy parody. R. A. Cinader and Jack Webb must be spinning in their graves.

A little trivia

The doctor was Bobby Troup - his real-life wife played the nurse

Bobby Troup also wrote “Route 66” - I saw Ozark Mountain Daredevils a couple of years ago (didn’t actually plan to go but received tickets) and near the end of the show they played “Route 66” - absolutely nailed that song

Saw them last year - they did NOT play the song. Sadly.

Even their cruise ship version doesn’t even come close to their performance that night. Absolutely fantastic. First time I ever liked that song.

I would be willing to bet that the chubby chief with the $400k salary couldn't put on a Scott Air pack and walk up a driveway to fight a fire. What kind of respect does a chief like that command? Eating pizza isn't part of the job. Fighting fires is the job. What a disgusting joke.
