Exactly the points I was thinking of. I have never smoked cigarettes, but it is freedom. It seems to me, if Biden can do it, Trump can undo it.

State tax revenue is $3.9 trillion, tabaco taxes are $19.5 billion. I don’t think it will be much of a dent on state finances for most states.

Not easy to find this data, but I eventually did. Several sources had some of the info, but not the answers. They were all anti smoking entities. (both numbers comes from the census bureau, but not in the same reports.)
But it will sure lose votes for the Democrats.
