Azerbaijan is saying that after the plane took damage from the Russian missile, Russian officials tried to get the plane to crash into the Caspian Sea.

This comes as evidence is piling up that Russian air defences hit the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, which was likely wrongly targeted as a suspected Ukrainian drone.

It might have been dumbass Chechens, or dumbass Roooooski operating the air-defense systems on Chechnyan soil.

This mass murder - Chalk this one up to sheer stupidity. There were 20 or so Russians onboard. iirc Some Chechens too.
