Condolences to the both of you. I'm getting a new taste of Christmas this year. Always had at least one of the kids and my wife's parents to enjoy Christmas with. Not this year.

My kids are on 3 different continents (Hawaii; California, Spain). My father in law passed away on 02NOV; My mother in law passed away on 04DEC. After 62 years of marriage 32 days was enough time apart and now with Jesus this Christmas.

Had them over for Labor day cookout. Didn't think that was the last meal we be sharing.

The Lord works things on his schedule, that's for sure. Thanking God for all the years we had Christmas together and sadly took it for granted. Sure makes you think.

I sure get that. Frankly, God blessed them by letting them both go together after so many years, even if it was 32 days apart. It is quite so common and easy to understand. One can die of a broken heart!
