Did they get provided these Christmas hats on a supply mission? Then, why would a re-supply include Christmas hats?

A box of Christmas stuff can be put behind a seat. However, as I understand it, for them to leave the space station and go back home, they need the type of spacesuits that will the vehicle they are returning on.
That is what they found when they sent a SpaceX vehicle up to get them earlier. Their spacesuits weren’t compatible with Musk’s ship.
So, I reckon that they are waiting for the suits that do fit Musk’s ship. Something like this.
Government employees get salaries. Which works out, if you aren’t that busy. But you are penalized if you end up staying for almost 2 years on a spaceship.
This doesn’t even make sense. There was no expectation for them to be up there in December, allegedly. And i would bet every item on that station is carefully selected to make sure they have room for everything. WTF is going on?
They were holding up a sign “SEND MORE UNDERWARE” but it was cropped out.

They’re not up there alone and they get resupplied.
The female astronaut looks like she is a concentration prisoner. She is not doing zero gravity very well. Wonder if it is affecting her digestive system.
Get in the Crew Dragon and shut the hatch! Start initiating undocking. Cut loose and drift, then, RELAX, Elon will fly you home.
The space station gets regular supply runs. I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that they actually had XMAS decorations in a box somewhere. That station has been there for many Christmases.
I am stunned by the people who can’t fathom such a thing.

Now a days, I presume every morsel of data put out by the feral govt is a lie, until proven otherwise, rather than the other way around.
