I get the powders online for about $40 a kilogram. I was already making a mix of a dozen other supplements so it wasn’t hard to add them in.

The shrooms are more of along term preventative thing so I can’t claim any direct noticeable difference. I knew Reishi is anti-cancer and Lion’s Mane is neurological and happened to read an article on other mushrooms.

To figure the dosages I mostly used the lower end of chatGPT recommendations.

I’ve always liked button mushrooms and get 24 ounces at Sam’s for 3.62 or sometimes mini portabellas for 4.42.

I should add that all mushrooms, especially shiitake, oyster, and maitake, are the richest source of ergothionine, which has longevity, antioxidant, anti inflammatory, neuroprotective, immune system support, and cellular health/DNA.

This is from a summary of chatGPT reply to “Benefits and sources of ergothionine.”

It’s kind of like dark chocolate, especially cacoa powder, is by far the highest source of theobromine (literally God-food) and pineapple (especially the core) is the only real source of bromelain.
