It’s time to make your echo chamber great again.
In 2024, that means curating your world to exclude those who voted for the 45th and, now, 47th president, Donald J. Trump.
Especially if those voters are close friends or family members — slap the ban on them. Just say no to sharing a plate of Thanksgiving yams with your Trump-supporting aunt, even if she voted for Obama twice and Hillary in 2016.

Last Friday, MSNBC’s resident Chicken Little, Joy “Democracy is Falling” Reid, welcomed to her show Yale psychiatrist Dr. Amanda Calhoun — who dished out a prescription for festering bitterness and loneliness.
“There is a societal norm that, if somebody is your family, that they are entitled to your time, and I think the answer is absolutely not,” Calhoun told Reid when talking about how to interact with Trump voters.
“So if you are going into a situation where you have family members, where you have close friends, who you know have voted in ways that are against you, against your livelihood, it’s completely fine to not be around those people and to tell them why.”
Isn’t that what Festivus is for? To get together and air your grievances — the operative word being “together.”

Long ago, when liberals were present around the Thanksgiving dinner table I liked to start the opening conversation with,”Do you know what YOUR problem is?” and then taking it from there.
My entire family is Conservative - DIEHARD Trump lovers - save for one. And he is pretty cool, albeit misguided, so we have agreed to pretend his liberal ideas are just adorable and let it slide and just talk about weather now with him.
Anyone who isn’t blood - no mercy. Too long of putting up with liberals’ abuse.

My wife’s son and daughter disavowed her in 2016 and have not talked to her since not have allowed her contact with her grandson and 2 more grandbabies she has never seen. It grieves her mightily.
Her kids are simply evil lefties who broke no disagreement with their positions. I simply wave a digit at them and we both say the hell with them but inside....well you know it hurts her. They know it too and they don’t care.
That is so sad. Both on how it must feel to your wife but also the knowledge that she raised (not saying it’s her fault) two people who could be so petty and hurtful.
The so-called Yale Psychiatrist is not yet a Psychiatrist. She is still doing somekind of intership there.

Wow. Between the Trump issue, and the Covid vax/lockdown mess, the Democrats have been very successful in destroying thousands of American families.
And does Amanda Calhoun not understand that her statements, in reflecting the primary tenets of leftist ideology, fully discredit such ideology both morally and intellectually?

It’s one of the major characters of a cult. It’s also huge when it comes to domestic abuse. Isolation and control in both cases.

If one’s estranged it is easy for the other to follow. Especially with an ex who encourages it
...and the relatives they “cut off” will be better off for it. And probably had cut the Marxist/fascists out of their lives 4 years ago when they initially voted for FJB.

The article states: ‘Joy “Democracy is Falling” Reid’. This election’s theme was to get the voter to worry about losing democracy.
Democracy has so many different meanings. Some of my favorites are: “The Peoples Democratic Republic Of Korea” and the “Peoples Democratic Republic of China”. From the meaning these to communist regimes give democracy, I’d say the democrats are very correct. They are losing their democracy.
In the meantime the rest of us are quite happy with Trump restoring our Constitutional Republic.
