Rudyard Lynch, aka Whatifalthist, is a young youtubing historian who discusses the comparison between Calhoun’s Mouse Utopia experiment and its relevance to today’s society. Essentially the experiment shows that society becomes feminized and chaotic as the population of the mice rise, even though this breakdown in the mouse society occurs well before the supposed carrying capacity of the cage.

Quite fascinating to consider that most of the world is depopulating slowly:

Against a replacement rtae of 2.1, these United States are estimated to be about 1.7.
Did Obama leave the presidency and live in a small apartment?
Do the Clintons live in a small apartment?
The Democrat Crime Families will lecture you on how to live, but they don’t follow their own advice.
Americans used to learn about this experiment and keeping America’s population down to around the 200 million of 1970 was a goal with 2.2 kids and cleaning up our nations rivers and beautifying our cities, with the moon visits happening and Mars in the future, race relations being worked out with the 88% white America and 12/13% black (pre-hispanic) Americans and English the only language used or even thought of, personal freedom at an unbelievable level compared to today.
A bright and positive future of science and advancement and social harmony and a country of wide open spaces with fishing, camping, and hunting just outside the cities yet a population big enough for everything.
Make no mistake I have always been a vocal pronatalist and i believe that humanity is better off if we have more people as we would then get economies of scale that lead to the innovation that can make extra planetary colonization more likely. Maybe these mouse utopia experiments have fueled malthusian thought and Paul Ehrlich’s Population Bomb. But I wholeheartedly disagree. I only post this to send the message that city living is not the Darwinian thing to do (and based on urban atheism rates maybe not the Godly thing to do).
I would love to see 100 billion people living on the planet.
You aren’t alone, the democrats have set America on a path of endless population growth, approaching 400 million already and 1 billion foreseeable.
The end of America, the end of free living, beauty, and single family homes, with a future of the life of farm animals stacked on top of each other and government playing the role of farmer.
i want natural population growth coupled with modest immigration….the democrats want negative organic population growth and open borders…WE ARE NOT THE SAME
The inevitable consequence of pro life policies is more babies…are you opposed to that?
Democrat policies lead to greater urbanization, which will lead to more of these vast open spaces that you seem to crave. You will just have no political power and you will be taxed to death.
It is your policy, not mine, I want all immigration ended and was against this last 100 million people coming in and their offspring.
Your desire for a 100 billion people on earth is bizarre and while it would overwhelm and erase America and the West along with all nations and turn the world into a bubbling cauldron of controlled sheep fed from factories and living in stacked rooms, there would still be constant friction and violence mixed with the mindless farm animal living.
Some estimate there were 100M American immigrants since 1776…I assume you can trace your family back prior to that if you have been opposed to the last 100M immigrants.
That is why I mentioned “and offspring”, and you shouldn’t base your liberal politics and bizarre preference for 100 billion people on when your own family got here.
Pro life is bizarre?
Got tired of the conversation and decided to switch to abortion, wow.
Pro life leads to higher birth rates….higher birth rates means natural population increase…higher natural population increase helps to reduce corporate lobbying for more immigration.
The only way America gets fewer immigrants, politically, is if we increase population naturally. Corporate America will not stand for a population decrease in the USA (and neither will I).
“””””Corporate America will not stand for a population decrease in the USA (and neither will I).”””””
Wow, well you have a powerful democrat party and an endless stream of new foreign voters to continue your and JFK’s dream of erasing the Americans and their nation.
life resembles that mouse maze in science class... some figure it out... others just clog the system...
