A judge has thrown out charges of attempted murder against the Arizona college student who nearly killed a classmate in an unprovoked knife attack in front of horrified students.
Kaci Sloan was facing multiple charges after launching herself at Mara Daffron, 19, as the pair arrived for class at ASU’s West Valley campus on September 19.
The 'bubbly’ student needed emergency surgery for a ruptured spleen and injuries to her chest and arm after Sloan stabbed her twice in a premeditated attack before being hauled off her target by fellow students.
Two counts were dismissed at a court hearing on Monday, leaving Sloan facing the lesser charges of aggravated assault with a prison term of between two and nine years.
‘We are beside ourselves!’ Mara’s devastated mother told Dailymail.com.
‘So the only way there would be justice is if my daughter had actually died?’

I am truly surprised that we haven’t seen a surge in street justice. It’s the only justice there is now.
This is beyond ridiculous.
Doesn’t matter when dealing with a protected class. You will comply peasant.
This makes the racial crime stats a bit better.
They want to exterminate all legacy US citizens by any means necessary, and letting violent criminals run wild is one of their weapons.
“So the only way there would be justice is if my daughter had actually died?’”
Probably not even then.
Wait, black on white attempted murder?
Color me surprised...
My dad who was a copper told me before he died, “you have a responsibility here, if anyone harms any of the women in this household, it is your duty to take care of it. Do not expect court justice. I know you are smart enough to not get caught.”
No my dad was not Don Corleone! Besides the movie came out after he died.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the English began to hate.
Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the English began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the English began to hate.
It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the English began to hate.
The only thing that stopped murder was a navy vet jumping in to pin down the hippo before she could keep stabbing
The hippo even wrote a letter ahead of time telling what she planned to do
WTH is wrong with our legal system and these judges

The first place justice needs to be handed out is on these judges that release criminals. They’re nothing but aiders and abettors.
A rather slanted, poorly written story. “A judge”, really? Name the judge and the reasoning given for dropping the charges.
At the end of the story “Judge Jane McLaughlin” is mentioned, but in regards to a earlier hearing?
shame if that expensive house has an unfortunate fire.
“ ‘So the only way there would be justice is if my daughter had actually died?’”
Well, not exactly…. Any men left in your family? You know… the quiet one.
Hopefully, someone would deal out justice. Willie Nelson sings it best, “get all the rope in Texas and find a tall oak tree. Round up all of ‘em bad boys and hang up in the tree. For all the people to see.
Under what line of reasoning do you reduce the charges? This is NOT equal protection under the law. The only reason this girl isn’t dead is because Sloan wasn’t able to stab a vital organ. This was attempted murder with intent to kill. No way this charge should be reduced.
