The Food and Drug Administration is expected to approve the new Covid vaccine as early as Thursday, according to two sources familiar with the agency’s planning.
It’s the third time the vaccines have been updated to match circulating strains since the original series. The shots should be available within days.
The FDA and HHS declined to comment on the expected update.
The timing of the new vaccines — last year's rollout was in mid-September — is significant, since most of the U.S. is still caught in the summer wave of Covid illness. As of Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the number of people testing positive for Covid keeps rising and that emergency room visits for Covid have been increasing since mid-May. Hospitalizations are rising, too.

These Covid strains are mutating so fast that by the time they get a vaccine out “fine tuned” to certain strains those strains would be almost completely replaced by newer strains in circulation. Just sayin’.

Not one word of this propaganda blast from NO Broadcasting Company is based on SCIENCE or disease monitoring data whatsoever. There has not been ANY kind of “Covid” rise in the middle of summer. And it is no longer Covid 19 long ago mutated into something else.... which these clowns HOPED would be something more disastrous than the absolute fraud perpetrated before.
This is also— scientifically speaking— NOT a vaccine against a coronavirus, but only directed at the S-Protein spikes on the outside of the virion. These S-proteins are no longer those in the so-called Covid 19 virus, but have mutated more than the original alpha,beta,gamma, delta and epsilon variants— all the way to beyond Omicron variant.
Not unless they guaranty that I can get at least 10 boosters!(/S)
