On this day in 1958 it snowed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I remember sledding on this date.
It’s going to get cold here on Friday too. Low 40’s.
I’m in Iowa and it’s been a very cool August. Even the trees are turning already. I think we are in for an early winter. In the mean time, the evenings have been very cool. Wonderful sleeping weather!!
We had one long stretch of 17 straight days of 80 degrees or higher in late July and early August.
Today and yesterday, highs were 69 F and 68 F, which are 8 and 9 degrees below average.
Since our official temperature is taken 100 feet away from a Sea-Tac airport runway, those are downright incredible high temps in August.
Hey, those clear hot days in July, and the cool cloudy days in August just proves how terrible climate change is! I had to put on a sweatshirt for the dog walk a few nights ago!!
And remember back in May(?) when the news was all about how terrible the fire season would be this year? And the smoke? (Heck - I bet there was even an article titled “Climate Change - Summer Smoke will Make Covid Worse”)
I hope I didn’t jinx the clean air we’ve had this year!
Dang that GoreBull warming to heck!

Also, let's not allow the anti-Trump media try to fade our memories of what we witnessed on July 13.
