When you look at NDEs, many contradict each other and contradict the Bible. I read once about a lady who worked with sick children, and many had NDEs. She reported that Catholic children often mentioned seeing the Virgin Mary during their NDEs, while Protestant children almost never mentioned seeing her. That leads me to believe that people see what they expect to see during NDEs.
Still, I’d like to believe there’s something to it. I had a brief out-of-body experience as a child which leads me to believe that we do have a soul that can exist outside our bodies, and that soul is “the real us,” while our bodies are merely shells.
I agree. I get the impression that the folks who have NDEs may not be that far into the “other side.” In fact, they are obviously not so far that they can’t come back.
.... or could it be that "They" are communicating to you in a language you can understand?
[[and contradict the Bible]]
Mine sure did- the “test” I was given by a voice was to “count sounds”, and I was able to at first, but it got faster and faster, and I couldn’t anymore, and the voice said “don’t worry, you don’t exist” and that is when I was cast into the outer darkness with that weird feeling of not existing but so ehiw being conscious of my pr3sence in comp, etc isolation and loneliness- can’t really explain it better- it was weird and totally unbiblical
Isn't it possible that God directs our soul into a specific set of parents with their beliefs or nonbeliefs, and their specific circumstances—for His reasons? The Bible indicates that there is a hierarchy of angels in heaven. Perhaps there is an "organization chart" for whom a soul "reports to."
