Stop using windoze. Linux Mint (on laptop I’m using now) is great.
Took this old laptop that was unable to run win10, loaded Linux Mint on it and now it works like a brand new laptop.
I use yahoo e-mail. Screw microsoft, gates and windoze.
Did you know, 2min of each hour of windoze use, it’s reporting back to ms?

Yep, did that over 8 years ago and haven’t looked back since. :)

That is what the “Windows was not shu down properly” message is all about. It didn’t get the chance to send in it’s use report logs and needs to phone home and catch up on those.

The OP did not ask for advice on OSes. He is using Windows, likely needs to. I have a dual boot, but there is no FileMaker Pro equivalent in Linux, and LibreOffice Calc is no match for Excel.
That said, for Linux or Windows, Thunderbird will do the job for mail.

Yahoo for me. I tried and used a number of options over the years since Pine email, and Yahoo has worked out the best over time. I suggest using an ad blocker with it though.
