J. Michael Cline -- founder of movie ticketing app Fandango -- has died after leaping from a building in New York City ... TMZ has confirmed.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... the entrepreneur jumped from the 20th floor of The Kimberly Hotel in Manhattan, landing in a third-floor courtyard early Tuesday morning.
We're told he left a suicide note in the room that reads, "So sorry. I can’t explain the pain of f****** up this much. I love you all." Our sources say he then went out onto the balcony and jumped.
Cline started up Fandango way back in 2000 and also held roles with start-up funding firms Accretive and Juxtapose. Other companies he founded ... tech company R1 RCM, business insurance firm Insureon, and education solutions business Everspring.
Cline married his wife Pamela back in 1995, and the two share six children together. They bought their Palm Beach home back in late 2020 for just north of $20 million, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
Cline was 64.
RIP
the note said he had incriminating evidence on Hillary Clinton...
Well, we sure got the note quick.
Still waiting on the trans manifesto...
Yeah, what is this, Moscow?
20th floor is pretty high, but not necessarily instant death on contact.
Not that I ever would, but if I had to take myself out, I would not choose that. Too messy and not an instant guarantee.
Not saying it’s fishy. IT just makes me pause.
The trick is to wear swim fins. Makes you like a dart. Go in head first.

Sources were watching to know the precise order of things? Maybe note was written sometime prior, and the guy did other things for a while then went to the balcony? or was the ink still wet?
OR.........
Did he have ‘help’ getting over the balcony?................
I wonder just how bad he thought he messed up and in reality how bad it truly was?
I have known people who took their life and had down times myself but I don’t know how people can get to the point of actually acting on it in a way with a few seconds before impact and no way to try to change your mind and stop.
I imagine God is with them in those seconds, just as He is available every second for everyone while alive.
jumping from buildings in nyc is fishy in what universe?
Whatever he did it couldn’t have been as bad as committing suicide when you have six kids.
That explains the claw marks in the carpet to the window.
Hillary called the suicide hotline on his behalf.
I would expect them to be in their 20’s by now
He helped ruin the movie going experience.
Arkancide?
“Guaranteed delivery in in 30 minutes or less!”
There was a guy a while back who jumped from the Golden Gate bridge and survived. He said his first thought was instant regret that he had jumped.
I lost a good and dear friend, a man I called and loved as a brother, a couple years ago. Alcohol got him to the point. When he was sober, he was a different person. When he was drunk, he was all about it. Finally succeeded on Memorial Day of 2022. Strung himself up in his workshop. EMT's got him back a couple times, but he was so drunk, his lungs wouldn't keep working. Toxicology said he was over 3 times the legal limit.
That was just so awful, so twisted, so cruel. I’m glad no one else was home to hear my belly laugh.
Now I have to go reflect on what is wrong with me.
A few years ago, I read about a guy who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. And survived. The instant after he jumped off, he felt huge regret. He had the feeling that God was there in that moment.
