I've read so many head-slapping bytes of information about the assassination attempt that I'm getting a headache and one eye is swollen. Here's Cheatle explaining why there was no agent on the shooter's roof.

Embattled Secret Service head Kimberly Cheatle has revealed the fateful reason why her agency failed to position an agent on top of the building that a gunman used to carry out an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Cheatle, who is already facing calls to resign over what some lawmakers are calling a massive security failure, said Secret Service officials planning security for Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania considered the warehouse about 150 yards away from where Trump spoke to be a risky position for stationing an agent.

'That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there's a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn't want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,' she told ABC News in an interview Tuesday.

'And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.'

OMG - she actually said that?

That roof, the slope of that roof is very slight. My front yard, which I mow on a riding tractor, has a much steeper slope than that.

And what about the water tower some 400-500 feet east of that rooftop where the thug ( who was NOT afraid of a mildly sloping roof) took up position? A high-up birds-eye view of much of the venue, and a perfect location to keep an eye on the entire roof of that AGR building along with most of the venue.

This is looking more and more like a deliberate government-orchestrated attempt on Trump’s life. Incompetence? Yeah, that existed too, but the fact that someone could get that close with a rifle and nothing was done to protect the real President until after the first shots were fired tells me all I need to know.

Where was the cia/fbi and what did they know? How about the DOJ?

In his initial post, Bobby Kennedy III added that he believed “these sorts of conversations should be had in public.” He also lambasted Senator JD Vance (R-OH) who Trump announced Monday as his running mate, saying that the former president had chosen “JD ‘fire all the unvaccinated nurses’ Vance” over “unity” – in a suggestion that his father was being considered as a potential choice.

She fails to recognizer there were to snipers posted on a roof behind Trump. And that roof had an even steeper slope. Geez...

That roof is “sloped” such that if I stripped and slathered myself in crisco and lay down on it I’d stay in one spot.
