So the garbage barge named after her will also “destructively” designed— crash and burn as well. Very strange memorial, agree.
Seems the NTSB got her gender wrong, as you observed. The student was male. Don’t know how a trained pilot instructor doesn’t have dual control on a touch and go landing— report says “unknown reason” (medical, mechanical undetermined?). Odd.
Then add in that the current situation aboard the ISS is “touch and go” with Starliner. The general sense is that who’s going to trust it *not* to burn up on reentry.
Strange stuff.
Perhaps the accident report wasn’t a typo, but a statement of biological reality. Sure seems like a glaring mistake, regardless of the times.
Who knows. If that were truly the case, it doesn’t mean anything nefarious. Sometimes people have real genetic anomalies and are forced to ‘identify’ one way or the other.
Annoying that I find myself even contemplating this. Arrg.
In any case, what was NASA thinking with this bizarre memorial choice — a craft destined for a fiery end? Kind of creepy.
