I watched this long video the other day and it is truly an excellent video. This is probably the most in-depth discussion on the the history of NATO and the Neocon mindless mindset behind its expansion that I have witnessed in one place. Jeffrey Sachs is a a very bright and seasoned diplomat.
Jeffrey Sachs, world leading economist, used to be a mainstay of the mainstream media. He has been blacklisted by CNN, NBC, AbC, Fox News, etc. Since he dared to admit the US took out the Nordstream pipeline (like we said we would)
+1
good video!
Here’s a link to a highly compressed but perfectly viewable version of this rumble video. You can right-click and “save video as” to save a local copy of this 2.5hr interview as a 200mb file.
Never tried linking to a small version of a rumble video before but it should work.

We were in the right amd the Soviets were in the wrong. Anything else is leftist garbage
46 minutes in and it has “the ring of truth” so far. I stopped to make this aside.
I remember Trump seeking the nomination. I think Graham was running also. Trump shocked me by saying that Graham just wanted endless wars. As a supporter of Reagan, I believed America should stand up to its enemies, communism at the time. So it was a bit of a shock to hear Trump, who I knew little about, speaking somewhat like a Democrat. Well, context is everything. In Reagan’s day the choice was to stand up to the Soviet Union, or slowly succumb.
I agree with Jeffrey Sachs that when the Soviets disbanded the Warsaw Pact, we should have disbanded NATO. Trump, seeking the nomination, asked “why do we have NATO?” If I recall right, Carlsen said a long time ago that his asking that question was critical. He asked a question that he was not supposed to ask. By asking that question, he became the enemy of the permanent state.
Parallels? JFK stated that he would break the CIA into a million pieces and scatter them to the wind. Nixon told the head of the CIA that he knew what really happened to Jack. The CIA is famous for its coups abroad. Could those same skills be used domestically?
I think he is right on Ukraine-Russia. That is the main thrust of the interview. That is what he knows best. He should be judged on this.
He covers other topics briefly, CIA assassinations, Israel and Gaza, and Covid-19. I don’t expect one-stop shopping. I don’t expect to find a person or website with which I will be in complete agreement. The fact that I disagree on one topic is not a criticism.
The man is an expert. He is very persuasive, as is sometimes the case with an expert. I have two areas of concern with experts. One is conflict of interest. The other is tunnel vision. It would be prudent to hear viewpoints other than his viewpoints.
Even before watching this video, US Government credibility under Biden was near zero with me. I am more cynical now than in the past.
The topic of the 2020 election did not come up. I expect that a man who has such strong convictions would have strong convictions on this topic as well. I can only wonder what he would think, or why Carlsen did not introduce the topic.
I have to say this in an excellent video. Sachs is very knowledgeable.
President Trump has been saying lately that he will keep us out of WWIII. If you don’t know what he’s talking about, watch this video.
