Yeah...not a big fan of the “some animals are more equal than others” application of punishment.

Thank you. China uses sand pits around city centers. Soldiers do the executions for practice.

With the addition of due process e.g. “is that you on the video there? okay, guilty, death by bullet to back of head in sand pit. Next! it could work here.

I'd say that is a bit excessive. Mistakes are made, after all. I'd say the appeals process should be funded to the point that it should be complete in a year, after which, the sentence carried out.
