We need class action litigation against all those who pushed EV cars which caused financial harm to their owners.
Too bad life does not work that way.

The battery replacement cost varies depending on the model year and size. Estimates suggest that the batteries for the Model S cost between $12,000 and $15,000. After labor charges, the total repair cost is about $20,000 to $22,000.
Just look up the cost of replacing an EV battery.
And, at best, an EV battery will last 8-10 years, while the gas tank of an ICE car can last forever, and gas stations are everywhere and refueling takes 5-10 minutes, including driving to the gas pump.
But, there have been many reports where getting an EV battery is next to impossible (depending on where you're stuck), and replacement costs have also been reported to be greater than the price of the entire vehicle when new.

So now she wants her money back because she changed her mind.
That is how life and business works. People change their minds all the time and go back on their decisions.
What planet are you living on? Perhaps the human way of doing things on this planet is not for you. The USS Enterprise is taking passengers, looking to return them to their planets of origin. Put in an application at: dumbEVpostersFromAnotherPlanet.net

No it is not. Except maybe at Costco.
Who did your daughter ask for her money back?

I note that you previously posted this and are now ignoring my previous request to cite examples of this.

The 'best' period is never true, and the best anyone can hope for is 10, but even that is very rare. especially when people either discard their EVs or trade them in within 1-3 years of usage. It's very rare that people keep EVs for more than 1 or 2 years.

What planet are you living on?
We who live on this planet, call it Earth. It's the third planet from our star, which we call the Sun. The Sun and other star comprise what we call "The Milky Way" galaxy. That galaxy is part of what we call the universe. What universe and galaxy and planet did you come from? Do you have EVs on your part of your universe? BTW, once the leaders of our planet realize that you are here illegally from another planet, you will be sent back, with all costs coming out of your pocket. But, do you wear 'clothes' with 'pockets'? Likely you look very strange, to match your strange comments.

No credibility.

No credibility.
I agree. The EV industry has lost all credibility, and that's why they're losing buyers, and even the current EV owners are looking to trash them or hopefully get a dealer that can take them as trade-ins for ICE vehicles.

Why not just ask for their money back?

Why not just ask for their money back?
You must still be talking about how things work at your planet. Do dealers in your planet take vehicles back after a number of years in a customer's hand, and give the customer his money back? What's in it for the dealer then? Your upside-down planet is confusing, and stinky.

Repeat, rinse, and repeat.

As costs, maintenance, and resale values continue to move in a negative direction, I fully expect the nitwits in Washington to propose further give-a-ways for ev owners. Tax credits for battery replacement, tax deductions for tire replacements, etc. If they just arbitrarily forgive student loans who’s to say they might start “forgiving” those ev auto loans. Washington always has an answer to every problem, and it always involves taxpayer money in some form or another.

LOL! You said that was how it worked in your world when you defended your daughter’s right to get her money back after changing her mind.
It is ok for you to change your mind but it is totally being an AH to lie about my position.

Most EVs 10 or more years old are still on the road.
