Free speech does not mean you can slander people. He slandered the parents and they were able to show harm. The government didn’t stop him, the parents acted as a party on one side and he was on the other and he lost.

I do understand free speech and I think you do as well. Free speech does not protect you if you slander somebody and he slandered the parents.

Free speech does mean that you are free to slander, but if you get sued, and lose, then you have to pay.
