For Google Chrome and its two-billion-plus desktop users, May will go down as a month to forget: four zero-days and emergency update warnings inside ten days, launched a tidal wave of wall-to-wall headlines that were hard to miss.
The US government has warned federal employees to install May’s emergency updates or to cease using Chrome. And they have issued a June 3 deadline for the first of those updates to be applied. It’s now June 1, and so this is a timely reminder that you should ensure you have updated Chrome inside the next 72 hours.
Others organizations should do the same, and mandate full employee compliance.
Credit to Google for the speed and efficiency with which each emergency update was released and announced, notwithstanding the awkward PR. But there remains an urgency for users the world over the ensure the updates have installed. Chrome will update automatically, but users must then close and relaunch their browser.

I don’t use Google Chrome either. I got Brave, Slimjet and Chromium browsers, but no Google Chrome. I refuse to use it.
I never use it either, but have it on my Win-7 Pro X64 system. Is it worth updating?
Hubby’s work computer uses that. Passed this along to him.
Don’t use Google Chrome or Google search.
I will gladly delete Chrome from my computer.
I only downloaded Chrome because I needed to have a browser compatible with the system of a firm for which I was consulting two years ago.
I haven’t used it since.
Get the unGoogled Chromium. It is based on Chrome but all the spy crappola from the CCP is cut out. Its coding is also open.
A problem is that there is not a version that runs on <Win10.
It's worth deleting. Many people believe google is a creation of the CIA and it's whole purpose is to collect personal data on everyone(anything you say can and will be used against you) and sway opinion via google search.
I use Firefox. When I need to use Chrome, I use Comodo Dragon.
I gave up my Android phone to get rid of Google NEVER use Google as a search engine either!!
“I never use it either, but have it on my Win-7 Pro X64 system. Is it worth updating?”
chrome refuses to update on W7 beyond version 109.0.5414.120
I also use Brave, but my impression is that it was based off Chrome. So are we vulnerable as well?
Google wants to have a monopoly, so that they can censor and manipulate thought unimpeded.
Google is the Orwellian Ministry of Truth.
Google is an on going CIA operation. One would be wise to take no chances and quit using it.
I should do that, but some of the medical websites I need, only accept Chrome, and won’t function correctly with my Opera, Pale Moon or Brave browsers. They ‘specify’ Chrome.
I don’t normally use it either, but when a webpage doesn’t open or work correctly in other browsers, I give Chrome a try. When I checked this morning there was no warning because it hat updated to the latest version automatically.
I have Chromium Version 125.0.6422.112 (Official Build) snap (64-bit)
Do I need to do anything ?
I only use it maybe once a month.
Its the toy I have that works with TamperMonkey.
Federal employees. So basically they found a security hole, and fixed it, and federal employees who use Chrome have to get the update. This isn’t actually terribly exciting.
