Maybe bad, maybe not but throwing billions in tax dollars at them hurricanes sure won’t make them go away.
They are hoping for destruction and death to validate their years of global warming lies.

I’m a native of SE Texas since 1970, and other than my military years have lived here or in central Florida.
The government predicts lots of hurricanes and damage every year, so that when it does eventually happen, they can scream “SEE!!! We told you so!”, and the insurance companies (with whom they’ve all invested heavily) can raise our rates.

I have never figured out why the scientists in Colorado are hurricane “experts” when they never experience one. How about the weather folks out of Miami, New Orleans and Houston?
In any case, I prepare for hurricanes in July because the peak of the Gulf of Mexico season is from mid August to mid September. I have lived on the Gulf Coast for over 50 years and have seen a lot of storms. My wife is a seasoned hurricane veteran also being from south Louisiana.
