I wonder IF he literally took too many hits to the head.
Meaning CTE/concussions made him go crazy OR was he always crazy even before college? Which is why he ended up at Central MI U instead of Miami or Fl St or some other high end Division One college down south.
The way these players play, you almost have to be somewhat crazy.
My thesis is that it’s a combination of both. Clearly this guy had a lot of issues going into college but he, to his credit, managed to quash much of that during his glory years in Pittsburgh. But eventually whether by too many hits or just his nature, his true self emerged. And here we are.
MAYBE he needed to be a big fish in a little pond from the beginning.
