Institutional investors hold roughly 46% of all $TSLA shares, down from about 70% when the first vote was held back in 2018.
In 2018, 73% of shareholders voted to approve his compensation package. Retail shareholders make up a much larger percentage of ownership now, but historically they don’t participate in high numbers
Blackrock is controlled by Warren Buffet through Bank of America. Buffet is a Biden supporter. Last time they voted for Elon's pay. At the time they shorted his stock and profited which is odd. I wouldn't count on Blackrock's support this time which means private share holders must get out the vote.
