Synopsis: Ukrainian forces used drones to directly attack targets in St. Petersburg, Russia. Two apartment buildings were heavily damaged with debris being blown hundreds of meters away.
An article from The Independent (link immediately below) offers more details while the video from Kanal 13 shows the actual damage.

@MSM5500 5 hours ago (edited) Russki woman on the video: -''Is anybody else like any government services going to come down and clean all that mess here or we should do that on our own?" No, you shouldn't as from now on the drones are to be only an exclusive service provider in your area.
@ct5625 7 hours ago Vlad: "Mommy, what happens when we brutally invade a sovereign nation and murder thousands of their people while committing mass war crimes?" Mom: "Well, Vlad, they fight back with everything they have to defend themselves until we're defeated. Now finish your Vodka before school, mommy has customers coming over".

@grog5564 3 hours ago The Genius Russians put the air defense behind the city of Belgorad so that when they intercepted the drones and missiles it all fell on the city. Looks to be the same blunder by Russia.
@UzY3L 2 hours ago To quote the ruzzians: Air defense shouldn't have shot it down.
@berniesbend 7 hours ago Feeling the fear you've instilled in the rest of the world must suck.

@Nik_Airball 8 hours ago No way a Ukrainian drone make it that deep into Russia without being shot down. Leads me to suspect Putin farted ๐จ
@wealthbuilder59 6 hours ago Putin needs to step down . No more war!

@roberts7961 7 hours ago What comes around goes around LOL, get a taste of your own medicine Putin
Unfortunately Russia is slowing winning at a huge cost.
For me the biggest take away is their military isn’t good at all. They are sill using WW2 tactics of just sending meat waves at you.
What does scare me is China can more effectively use that tactic as they have plenty of meat to send.
The Ukraine hits apartment complexes and you crow about it in spite of the fact that you have complained repeatedly that the RuZZZZians target civilians. Is well known fact that the Ukraine military put sensitive installations under schools, opera, etc.
The only standards globohomo communists have are double standards.
That’s the one thing I see about some conservatives, they often have double standards. If it’s bad for the Russians to Target civilians it’s bad for the ukrainians to Target civilians.
All’s fair in war.
Well said.
Which makes me wonder if this was a Ukrainian drone at all. False flag operation, complete with "fortuitous" video, would be in character for Putin's Moscow. Lots of western news coverage and lots of screeching from the fellow travelers on social media. (And of course FR.) Win-win for Putin.
These attacks on Russia are probably why NATO troops are there secretly.
So these pinprick drone attacks are probably meaningless except as a PR stunt to distract from battlefield losses, and likely to backfire as every such attack reminds Russians that the Western elites are trying to kill them on their own soil, hardening their resolve.
If Ukraine wants to win the war, they’ll have to resort to guerilla war tactics. One way to do that is to build drones. So the West should build drone factories in Ukraine.
The real issue is, why is such a trivial event being reported at all by propaganda press in the West? Civilians are killed almost every day by deliberate Ukrainian shelling targeting them in Donetsk and other Russian-held areas. This is regularly reported in Russian and international (non-western) media. I surmise that reports like this are meant to distort western populations' perceptions, into believing their own press is fairly reporting attacks on Russia when in fact it is not.
The Asia Times article indicates Project Ukraine is over in as little as 90 days. They referenced the NYT article about 12 CIA bunkers. Ukraine is going to an exodus of Brits and French and the loss of long range missiles.
Like McCoy on Star TREK, He’s dead Jim, not gonna make it.
Pray tell, what exactly does it change? The Ruskies still occupy over 20% of the former Ukie land and nothing is going to changed that.
We poked the bear with CIA-supported coups in Ukie land, threatening NATO membership, flouting Minsk agreements, and last, but clearly not least, doubling the size of NATO when we promised not to extend "one more inch to the east." That bear has boatloads of nukes and when backed into a corner may just be prodded to use a few. Sure, it might lead to a dramatic change in civilization as we know it, but at that point, what do they have to lose?
Is that what "makes you tingle?"
Granted those drones are cheap, but it still defies logic that Ukrainians would waste one by lobbing it at random into a St. Petersburg residential area, handing Moscow a propaganda victory.
The PLA of today is not the PLA of the 50s. They may have plenty of troops, but getting them to go is another matter. Weak, poorly trained, demoralized, underfed, troops with zero combat experience does not make a good showing.
Not to mention the ‘let it rot’, and ‘lie flat’ movements that pervade all of China. Or the weapons that do not work.
Do prevailing winds from the West to East also blow from Ukraine across Russia? When it warms up and gets super dry, could incendiary balloon bombs be released in great numbers to drift and set down somewhat randomly and start huge “wildfires”? Might occupy Russia’s attention and resources to hobble their invading forces inside Ukraine.
Dies Russua have crack teams of firefighters to deploy by air to remote wildfire hotspots? Tanker aircraft to scoop up and drop water on them? Or fire retardant? Enough planes and fuel available to do both jobs of firefighting and invading Ukraine? The firebombings of Dresden and Tokyo certainly must have has some morale busting effects upon Germany and Japan. Non nuclear too, for those concerned about escalation to nukes happening. Tear gas would float with the minds too but probably not persistent enough to cause annoyance. Do militaries use non lethal gases in combat anymore?
... World not surprised, Zeeper Nazis Cheer.
You really get a charge out of civilian deaths, don’t you.
