Germany’s socialism at the time was contained within that country. If the people wanted it, who cares?
Grasping for red herrings, I see.
All socialism is expansionist. The USSR and (especially) national socialist Germany proved that conclusively. Red China is proving exactly that in the South China Sea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines and all of their countries in Asia, Africa and Central/South America (since the announcement of the death of our Monroe Doctrine by our wonderful Uniparty) in debt traps.
Islamic socialism is a form of national socialism, to boot. Is their expansionism in question?
With all due respect, anyone who is flippant about socialism is really ignorant of what it is—or is on its side. Is this the “extremism” you allude to in your handle?

It wasn’t going to stay contained in Germany and it didn’t.
National Socialism wasn’t sustainable, otherwise they would have stopped after Sudetenland and the Anschluss.
They needed to dominate continental Europe and they needed Lebensraum, living space to the East which would be colonized by the ethnic Germans and the eastern Slavs would be slave laborers.
They needed to expand and pillage those lands in order to maintain their NS paradise for the German Volk.
