Fulton Count Georgia DA Fani Willis used a legal filing where she defended her 'personal' relationship with a special prosecutor on her team to hit directly at the lawyer for a Trump codefendant who exposed her affair.
Willis admitted to the stunning affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade in her 176-page filing Friday, saying it posed no conflict with her role overseeing the case against Trump and associates on racketeering charges.
But in between passages making dry legal arguments, she included a color picture of the lawyer who blew the whistle on her affair. She also dug up the lawyer's own past statements about Wade – which were highly complimentary.
But the lawyer, Ashleigh Merchant, still might get the last laugh. She hit back within hours with yet another filing asking detailed questions about Willis' relationship – and raised doubts about her denial of ever cohabitating with Wade by pointing to information about Caribbean hotels and even alleging she and Wade used an AirBNB 'safe house' in Hapeville, outside Atlanta.
Just the questions Merchant raises suggest she has gathered substantial personal information about Willis, a Trump nemesis, after already battling to unseal divorce filings for information.
The filing spells out some of the probing questions Merchant would ask Wade at an evidentiary hearing about her charges against Willis, if a judge allows it to go forward in the explosive case.
Merchant's filing cites a 2019 judicial conference where according to the Willis filing Wade says he and Willis met and became friends. 'In Paragraph 17 of your affidavit, you swore that you met Ms. Willis in October of 2019 at a Municipal Court training. Isn’t it true that you began more than just a friendship at that conference?' Merchant asks, without revealing the source of her information.

Take a load off, Fanni
The judge in this case, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, is in the hot seat. His integrity and reputation are on the line and will be in the news soon.
Fani's frivolous shenanigans have put him in a pickle. If he doesn't act "judiciously," all Fani's liberties will be HIS burden.
Picture Fani Willis with the term “torrid”
Bad visuals
not to mention the big fat obvious...when it comes to the larger game of lawfare, liberals have trouble with what goes around coming back around. they dish it but can’t take it. republicans would do well to learn the ropes of liberal style lawfare. after all...”ALL is fair in Love and Lawfare” L.Star
That Wade guy just looks so miserable and like he absolutely HAAATES his life in every single picture.
Fani fancies her fanny is beyond reproach.
No conflict, that Nathan “Hot Dog” Wade is lead prosecutor, a position for which he is woefully incompetent and absolutely overpaid, at some two or three times as much as the other prosecuting attorneys. Yeah, right.
Nice little scheme to bilk the taxpayers of Fulton County.
“As pure as Caesar’s wife” does not apply to Fani Willis.
So Biden will just give him a federal judge position
Three things:
1. This case is consuming a lot of time that the court/judge would be better utilized, and that ‘clock’ is ticking on him halting things. I’d say within 10 days...he’s going suspend things.
2. Just the way things seem to progress...I expect some cocaine mention to start up before the end of Feb with either Willis or her man. May have no factual evidence but about every 10 days, you get another odd piece of the story to develop.
3. Maybe in Fulton County, Willis still has PR control, but I would suspect across the rest of the state...90-percent of residents are laughing over the sex chatter.
LOL well played
Women like Fani (with power and access to money) are prime candidates for coke use. And coke goes nicely with the high produced by a "torrid affair."
I wonder how much of all that money paid to Nathan Wade by Fani was returned in coke for the two of them.
*snort*
Fanni Willing
LOL.....thanks. funny
Integrity or not, he STILL has to come to some kind of process to provide answers to why she used $700K of Federal Covid relief funds (meant to clear court back logs) to pay for a consultant(s) on a case which she undertook herself for political reasons. Every bit of that Federal money needs to be audited and detailed where/how spent, IMO.

PART EIGHT - MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE PROFESSION
I think it's beyond approach.
