Former President Trump and his campaign are changing their tune about fellow GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, now calling him a “fraud” and claiming that a vote for the biotech entrepreneur will help the “other side.”
Trump wrote to his supporters in a TruthSocial post on Saturday that they should not support Ramaswamy because he is “not MAGA” and claimed he disguises his support for the former president “in the form of deceitful campaign tricks.”
Ramaswamy, who till now has slipped away from attacks stemming from Trump and his campaign, has repeatedly defended the former president throughout his 2024 presidential run. He has even criticized other 2024 GOP opponents for insufficiently supporting Trump.
After Colorado’s Supreme Court barred Trump from the ballot under the 14th Amendment, Ramaswamy pledged to remove himself from the ballot and asked other Republican contenders to do the same thing.
He has offered repeated praise of the former president, even saying that he would pardon Trump if he wins the general election.
Trump declared Ramaswamy the winner of the fourth GOP debate that took place in Alabama in early December, saying that “Vivek WINS because he thinks l’m great.”
Ramaswamy doubled down on his support for Trump in Saturday comments.
“I respect the hell out of Trump. He’s the best President of the 21st century. I’ve defended him at every step against the unjust persecutions,” he told The Hill.
“But OPEN YOUR EYES to the hard TRUTH: this system will stop at nothing to keep this man away from the White House. Just because it’s wrong doesn’t mean it won’t happen & we owe it to our nation to take America-First forward.”
Ramaswamy has amassed around 7.6 percent of support in Iowa, far below Trump’s 53.6 percent according to The Hill/Decision-Desk HQ average of polls. Trump’s late-game attack on Ramaswamy comes hours before the release of the new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll, the last one before the Iowa Caucuses kick off on Jan. 15.
The Hill has reached out to Trump’s campaign for comment.

Another flip flop from Trump. Earlier this week, he was praising Vivek.
No wonder every associate turns on the Trumpster.

In a recent revelation, GOP presidential candidate Hirsh Singh has brought to light controversial details concerning Vivek Ramaswamy’s political affiliations and voting history. Documentation obtained from the Franklin County, Ohio Board of Elections suggests that Ramaswamy is not a registered Republican but, rather, a registered “Unaffiliated” voter. In an X post (formerly Twitter), Singh wrote, “Per documentation received by Vivek Ramswamy’s Franklin County, Ohio Board of Elections Vivek is not a registered Republican, but Registered Unaffiliated and never voted in a Republican Primary in his entire life.”

Ramaswamy talks a good game, but anyone who takes what he says at face value should reconsider. If he’s so pro-Trump, then why is he running? And people should also remember that DeSantis was pro-Trump at one time. He was essentially branding himself as Trump’s successor.
Vivek Ramaswampy is indeed a fraud. He’s trying to subvert Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution. He’s not a natural born Citizen.
That’s because Vivek flip flopped and said the only true way to support MAGA is to vote for Vivek because Trump has too much baggage.
Who cares what childish "Never-Trumpsters" think?
Finaly, thank GOD!
Ramaswamy was never an associate of Trump’s. He said some complimentary things about Ramaswamy because Ramaswamy was saying complimentary things about him. That doesn’t mean Trump ever trusted him. In 2016, when Trump and Cruz were having their so-called bromance, Trump always said it wouldn’t last and that at some point Cruz would start attacking him, which of course he did.
Every Trump attack rings hollow. I think this would be a tight race we’re it not for Banana Republic lawfare against Trump, which pisses off every sane Republican.
Another flip flop from Trump. Earlier this week, he was praising Vivek.

Yep....hard for the NTs to keep up.
Vivek will sink like the lead balloon that he is.
And, talk about baggage....LOL....that’s RatherSwampy!
There’s no swami like a Ramaswamy.
An interesting aspect of all this is that Trump has basically cut himself off from being able to pick any of the other candidates for his VP. There’s no one in the Senate except maybe Rand Paul, and all the usual MAGA people in the House have made themselves at least partially anathema, MTG, Roy, Bo. Is he willing to go off the grid by picking someone like Hageman as a middle finger to Cheney, or Stefanik? Wheel sea...
Properly applying the Constitution in an ambiguous clause by a good-faith effort to find original 1788 understanding satisfies federal “pursuant” in Supreme Law of the Land clause (US Const., Art. VI, Cl. 2).
In Perkins v. Elg, 99 F. 2d 408, Court of Appeals, Dist. of Columbia Circuit 1938, the Court of Appeals noted as part of the basis for their decision that...
“United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649, 18 S. Ct. 456, 42 L. Ed. 890 [found that] {W]hen the Constitution was adopted the people of the United States were the citizens of the several States for whom and for whose posterity the government was established. Each of them was a citizen of the United States at the adoption of the Constitution, and all free persons thereafter born within one of the several States became by birth citizens of the State and of the United States.”
It appears the Supreme Court in Elg (1939) agrees.
What matters is what the ratifiers of the Constitution considered a natural born citizen (NBC) was. Again, the Constitution is properly applied as written and ORIGINALLY UNDERSTOOD and intended.
The Supreme Court decisions based soundly on the good-faith finding of original understanding of NBC in the Constitution is, therefore, legal precedent concerning NBC. Thus, Vivek should be considered an NBC.

Ramaswamy has always had the aura of a slick used-car salesman - a GOOD one, but a slick used-car salesman, nonetheless.
Here’s what trump actually posted:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, “the best President in generations,” etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this. Vote for “TRUMP,” don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA. The Biden Indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!

Yep.
I may be at the point of turning. The man has no scruples. Just whatever benefits him at the moment. To say this to his most vociferous supporter. Wow.
He is the embodiment of telling people what they want to hear.
People applauded him for taking 5 minutes to tell the reporter that the MSM lies and is fake news.
Pres Trump looks them straight in the face and says the same thing is 10 seconds.
If you want someone that has a flair for waxing poetically, he’s your man.
I’ll take they guy that is direct and to the point.
