A bizarre galaxy spotted in the early days of the universe could rewrite how supermassive black holes are formed.
Scientists have long wondered how supermassive black holes — the enormous, mysterious phenomena at the center of galaxies including our Milky Way — came into existence.
A new observation of Galaxy UHZ-1, collected by NASA using its powerful new James Webb Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory, suggests an unusual origin.
Per the agency, it could show that the supermassive black hole there was born directly from clouds of primordial gas.
If confirmed, it would show, for the first time, that supermassive black holes are not always formed by dying stars.
Such a discovery "changes the game in understanding how these objects formed," said study lead author Priyamvada Natarajan while speaking to Science Friday, a non-profit science-education organization.
"It is simply too big too early. It's like looking in at a kindergarten classroom and there among all the 5-year-olds is one that is 150 pounds and/or six feet tall," Daniel Holz, a theorist at the University of Chicago who studies black holes, told The New York Times.

The pics below represent the 'science' of astrophysics following their explanation for the existence of this black hole.
Of course, Darwin was one of the ignorant immensity!
I submit that he has learned that you pray God forgives your sorry self!”
“Darwinism?” Nope.

Please excuse my double post.
The universe was formed by special creation by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Please… no posts from “Business Insider.”
It’s interesting, I guess, but why do we need to know anything about black holes?
God created it on — literally — Day One. So much money being spent on stuff like this. How does it help us in any way?
Probably only about 1 out of 10,000 cosmologists even believe that God exists. If even that. They really don’t even except the possibility in their studies. In fact, they’re looking for anything BUT God.
Oh, do they mean like in Detroit?
Accept.

kind of like an inner city school ??
Out of all the knowledge in the universe - what percentage do humans know? 1/1,000th percent? No, not even that.
Man’s pride is beyond measuring.
How about God spoke black holes into existence just like he did the stars? No difference really.
But man has to come up with a way things happen. And in every realm of science man regularly and repeatedly finds new discoveries that prove all his past theories were dead wrong.
Does this produce a drop of humility? Nope.
I’m continuously amazed at the audacity of scientists who brazenly make statements they cannot prove. No one knows where or even if the universe has an edge or how long it has existed.
They have to make outlandish claims so they can get govt grant money to study them. Same with the climate science scams. Think up something that’s scary then demand money to investigate it.
I’ve made that mistake too. It happens, you should just try to be more careful.
Fixed it.
Onè is tempted to say: “The Science” is based on mountains of conjecture, but being too early for that, we’ll have to console ourselves with “The Science” is based on black holes of conjecture!
